The historic town of Bergerac is a great place to visit.
The historic town of Bergerac is a great place to visit. Lots of interesting architecture and local culture to explore. There is quite a big street market held once or twice a week. Plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes. A very welcoming tourist destination.

The town is beautiful.
The town is beautiful. There are many shops, and beautiful architecture everywhere you look. There are some of the finest restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. The people everywhere are very friendly and everyone seems happy. It was like walking around in a painting. It was unforgettable.

Beautiful town with lots of interesting buildings.
Beautiful town with lots of interesting buildings. Nice bars and restaurants. We found opening times of restaurants and shops unpredictable. Enough to do for a few days. Nice river trip and prebooked taxi from airport was convenient.

So many things to see and do in the area.
So many things to see and do in the area. Bordeaux and Burgundy get lots of press for their wines. The surrounding vineyards of the Bergerac region are superb and accessible. They wine you sample ranges from good to out of this world; the stories you hear at each vineyard are full of the passion the people convey about their work and the results.
In addition, the cultural sites were fun with many to choose from. Our only concern is that we traveled in early October. Some sites change or close at that time. Their websites weren't up to date so we showed up to several only to find them closed for the season.

A wonderfully set village on a picturesque river.
A wonderfully set village on a picturesque river. The bridge is beautifully lit at night. Several great dining options and the local wine selections are very good and affordable. The people of Bergerac were kind and welcoming.

Beautiful small old town in SW France.
Beautiful small old town in SW France. No hustle and bustle of a large city which made for a very relaxing stay. Close to numerous wineries and other destinations for a day visit. There is ample parking very close to the town centre (400+ places, and free!). Park the car and walk! Highly recommend this picturesque town and neighbouring region for a short visit.
Very warm reception from the lady on reception, really helpful in advising us on places to eat and how to get around the area.
Bed was very comfortable.
Whilst not a criticism as such, this is a bang average hotel in a slightly scruffy part of the city. But then it is fairly keenly priced and it very centrally located (easy walk to bars, restaurants and the very pretty old town). The rooms are ok but aren't really somewhere that encourage you to chill out and relax. Not a venue for a romantic weekend.
very convenient right in the old town of Bergerac, Nespresso coffee machine, clean, nice decor, lots of quality glasses, plates etc, nice shower, large bathroom twin sinks. nice fluffy white towels, very well maintained. comfy king size bed in larger room. parking in secure garage.. The owner did try and help us over the phone with directions but language barrier. and she was happy for us to leave the car in the garage for extra couple of hours when we checked out.
The hosts are excellent (so friendly and helpful) and the property is incredibly beautiful. So much thought has gone into the interior deco and the pool and garden area. The honesty bar is a wonderful additional feature. Breakfast in the dining room and the terrace are equally lovely experiences. The location is very close to the centre, so convenient for exploring beautiful old town Bergerac.
I have never had a better bed and breakfast experience! Martine was an incredible hostess, and I truly felt at home at Villa Aristide. She went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of, and I can't even describe how wonderful it was to wake up with the smell of her pies and tartes in the morning. Highly recommend Villa Aristide to anyone traveling to Bergerac!
Conveniently located close to the airport and just out of Bergerac centre.
Good free parking on site. Very welcome air conditioning.
All staff were friendly, professional and helpful.
Our room was comfortable, clean, quiet and well equipped.
Breakfast was good value with a choice of drinks, bread, home baked cake, cereals, yoghurt and cold meat/cheese.
I cannot fault the faciltites, the staff or the location. We were made so welcome, Francois and his family could not have done more to make our stay better. Our room was very spacious and well-equipped, breakfast was delicious with home-made yoghurts, and its location is a short walk from the centre of town. We would definitely love to return.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of the centre of Bergerac. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. Good value for money….the rooms are small but clean, the shower room seemed recently updated..perhaps a little TLC for the overall decor would be a good thing. Free parking in the station car park across the street.
It is a fairly standard airbnb style accommodation, clean and moderately central - its location is quite close to the town centre (15-20 mins walking) and the area is quite quiet at night. Bergerac is a good base if you are driving to other nearby towns e.g. Saint Émilion, Issigeac, Monbazillac etc. (Shame I didn't drive).
A very lucky find. Right on the edge of the town with easy walk to the centre of Bergerac. This is a beautiful property and our room was gorgeous, although we did have to share a toilet and bathroom, but this was not an issue. Our hosts were lovely and very welcoming. Perfect base for exploring Bergerac.
very well equipped and tastefully decorated. spacious and very clean.
there was a boulangerie 2minute walk and the centre of Bergerac is a 15min walk or a nice 20minute stroll along the river.
The apartment is on a busy road but the bedroom is at the back where there is a little patio area.
Location was ideal a two minute walk to the main shop/bar/restaurant area , breakfast buffet was really good , with a good choice . Staff really friendly and helpful. Rooms clean , nice balcony overlooking
Square , used on a couple of days for a market , did not disturb us.
It is a 16th century building which is full of character. Breakfast was good, hosts were excellent. Hotel is in the old town 2 metres from the river and opposite a number of restaurants.
Quiet hotel with secure parking, very convenient access by foot to the city centre. Pool area was well maintained. Check-in staff were very helpful. Short drive to Bergerac airport.
