Amazing - so much io see in such a small area.
Try a fairly new restaurant, la table du maché. Very reasonable, no alcohol but who needs it when a lovely brochette of chicken with salad. Chips and roquefort sauce + bread is €14.50

A real find - not very touristy. Very friendly.
A real find - not very touristy. Very friendly. Great old town with lots of restaurants. Excellent street market (Saturday). Brilliant base to explore the two parks , Chartreuse and Massif de Bauges.
Much better than tourist swamped Annecy (do day trip only and avoid weekends!).
Do not miss a walk up to Charmettes.

I didn't think the hotel was as easy to find as others have suggested. The underground parking is good..... HOWEVER YOU HAVE TO BOOK A SPACE BEFORE ARRIVAL. This is not highlighted on the Booking.com website

The town is wonderful.
The town is wonderful. Old stonehouses and also palaces and great administrative old buildings in baroque and classical styles. Surrounding mountains add to the views. Sadly you could see quite a lot drug users and homeless and unemployed people.

We were on our way to Les Arc to ski so needed a somewhere to stay overnight that was conveniently close to the motorway. The Chambery Ibis hotel ticked all the boxes and allowed us to continue our journey completely refreshed, at a very reasonable cost.

My husband left valuable jewellery in room by mistake ..
My husband left valuable jewellery in room by mistake .. after email and 3 phone calls he could not get any result.
We are still trying to have his property returned .. the receptionist keeps saying they do not speak English and tell him to phone back.
Very distressing.
I had a very nice stay at Campanile Chambéry during my road trip from Spain to Austria. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the hotel's location next to the highway was perfect for easy access. The room was clean and comfortable. Guarded ample parking space was an added bonus. I highly recommend Campanile Chambéry for a convenient and enjoyable stay on your travels.
Bed and pillows are really good! Better than in some 4* hotels.
Mattress is really good, cleaning every 2 days with updates towels etc.
The service, staff, location are much better than 2*. I was really surprised and glad.
Reception was very polite, gave many useful advices, that my time in this place was pleasant and interesting. Merci beaucoup!
We spent one night in Chambery on our way to Bordeaux. The room was nice. Location within walking distance to city center (15-20 minutes). Helpful staff. Wonderful parking arrangement (covered parking with controlled access so we could leave bike racks and 4 bikes attached to the car). Definitely a positive experience, good price/quality ratio.
What a gorgeous hotel! Absolutely STUNNNING hotel, beautiful amenities, views, and general posture of the hotel. Complimentary breakfast which was a nice surprise. Our room was upgraded to a suite which was very lovely. Staff is friendly and speak English to help with anything you might need. I would absolutely recommend renting a car.
A comfortable, spacious, quiet room in a beautiful historic building. Convenient parking nearby, even though the hotel is in a pedestrian zone, so not far to walk with luggage. Perfect location, close to centre, bars, shops, restaurants, sights. Valerio was extremely helpful and welcoming - thank you!
Lovely comfy room (we received free upgrade to Privilege room with my Genius discount :-)), friendly staff and nice bar area in the Hotel where I was able to work the following day after checking out. The Hotel is in a perfect location for both the bus and train station.
The hotel overall was quite good. There was an outdoor play area for kids (but the kids couldn't play as it was raining). There was a spacious lounge with different activities. The staff was pretty good.
Hotel looks nice from outside, lobby.
It apparently has a swimming pool and sauna.
Room was spacious and the bed comfortable.
Close to the railway station and 2 decent restaurants + city center.
The place is beautiful, was spotless and had everything we needed. The host was lovely and very helpful, we definitely recommend Chabot de Saint Maurice for a stay in the heart of Chambéry.
Great little hotel for a one night stay. Room even had a little kitchenette although we didn't use it as we were only there literally for one evening and then left early the next day.
This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel and I will do so again. It is conveniently positioned with a short walk into the centre. Top marks especially to friendly staff.
Loved the young female receptionist...super helpful and knowledgeable of the town and surrounding. Hotel in a central walking distance location...parking tight but it worked out
A really fantastic and individual hotel right in the heart of Chambery's old town. Lovely people, beautiful rooms, a really great hotel and superb cocktails. We loved it all!
The staff is very friendly and will take your request seriously. The hotel is well maintained and in the middle of the Old Town. Beautiful setting, we will be back
