It's really pleasant to live in the city.
It's really pleasant to live in the city. Rennes is not like Paris but there is everything you need to live and enjoy yourself. The center of the city is full of fun with beautiful old buildings and churches. You can also find modern facilities for your convenience. I loved the beautiful city of Rennes.

Only stayed 1 day - could perhaps have added a day. Rennes is very car un-friendly! Lots of cycle lanes, some quite narrow streets; lots of one-way streets that lead nowhere 9so you enter the one=way system and after a couple of minutes you end up back where you started - and there are no optional turns out of this system!
That said, once parked and on foot, very pleasant indeed.. We also had very nice weather - late-mid September.
Good restaurants - we ate at a creperie for lunch which was good and at an unpreposing restaurant for dinner which was very good,

The city had beautiful screet scape, shops and cafes and an amazing park all within walking distance. The local were friendly and prices generally in eating venues was reasonable. Rennes having a metro is an excellent asset allowing a lot of walking knowing you can double back by train if you plan your exploration direction to suit the metro stops. The staff at the metro station offered very helpful assistance without prompting helping to understand the ticketing system and ticket purchase process.

The old town is lovely, but for the oldies a bit tricky with the cobbles. The restaurants seem to be all in the centre - other eateries are pancakes, pizzas, and burgers - not exciting. It is a city for walkers - I am 94 and walking only short distances. My partner is a walker, so no problem. The people are extremely friendly, and it is a young city.
The location is fantastic, right in the city center of Rennes allowing you to start exploring right in front of the door. Around the hotel there are also plenty of great restaurants, bars and coffee places. The apartement is quite large, very modern, clean and well equiped. It offered everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the blinds blocked out the light and it was very quiet for such a central location. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location opposite the train station but less than 10 mins walking from the shopping center and 15 from city center.
The room is spacious and clean so is the bathroom.
The staff is lovely and helpful - the nicest staff I met across hotels in Rennes surrounding the train station.
The lounge area at the reception looks cosy and breakfast looks great too (I'm not a breakfast person).
The hotel is very central and yet quiet, a short walk from the centre of town. We had a projector in the room that was truly amazing, like being back in a cinema! There is a parking but it's public, only a few hundred meters from the hotel. It was a pleasant break from staying in the usual chain hotels.
The hotel is beautiful, located on the edge of the old town center (5-10 min walk to the very center) and conveniently close to the railway station. And the restaurant - very tastily decorated and the food was superb. All highly recommended.
I have stayed in this hotel for a number of years due the great location and value for money. Breakfast is also good value for money. Secure parking available (extra cost) which is great when parking around Rennes can be a nightmare
Very nicely decorated unit with a lot of windows and a plenty of room for 2 people, spacious living and dining area. Very central location in historic Rennes. We almost enjoyed staying here, however it gets noisy at night.
We stayed at the Anne de Bretagne en route to the South West of France. We arrived late and left early, but we were warmly welcomed and the rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean and exactly what we were looking for.
We stayed there already for the second time, the staff is very friendly! The hotel is located outside the Old Town, but everything is in a short walking distance. We booked the additional breakfast which was very good!
Safe enclave right next to the weekly market, restaurants, beautiful buildings. A café in the courtyard and a restaurant on the upper level. The hotel seem to appeal to hipsters on up to seniors.
The location of this hotel close to the Ring road was excellent. The parking was excellent The decor in the hotel foyer and lounge was excellent. The patio and gardens were excellent
Location! Right in the middle of the old town, walkable distance to all the attractions in Rennes. Breakfast was fabulous and the staffs were friendly. The lounge was beautiful.
Very typical hotel, with a lot of stuff, objects, images from '50/'60. Basic rooms and a large breakfast. Not in the center but not too far away and with parking lots.
clean bright hotel with friendly helpful staff good breakfast. close to Rennes stadium and also the massive LeClerc where there is also a Flunch (decent fast food)
