Tours is a fantastic vibrant town with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. It was our second visit and we’ll definitely be back.
We stayed at Castel Fleuri which is a ten minute walk away and is exceptionally good.
The staff are very welcoming and provided us with a map of Tours which was great.
I would not hesitate to recommend Tours as an overnight stop to break your journey or for a longer stay to explore and enjoy.

Tours was a wonderful city with a lively night life, historic sites and lots of high quality wine and food at every turn. There was very little car traffic in many parts of the old city, so walking around, is great. I’d love to go back and explore more.

I choose Tours as a base camp for exxploring the Loire valley up and down by train and bike. This did work out, just beware of the train schedule. It is very sparse except on weekends. Tours itself turned out to be more attractive than I had expected.

Plenty of interesting buildings, from medieval to modern architecture. Public transport is good for long distances, not expensive. You can even get reloadable tickets. There are restaurants of every description in the core area - you will be spoiled for choice. Check out the art in the Gare SNCF. Also enjoyed the Loire from the Pont Wilson. Lots of photo ops around the Hotel de Ville.

We visited many castles but for Chenonceaux you need to reserve your visit Also in Tours we didn't find much to do but it was a central location between Saumur and Chambord where we visited many places. The Hotel Berthelot was a good French traditional hotel. The staff was friendly and everything was simple but clean and of quality.

Saturday night in late July had a party atmosphere in the old town. Easy to walk around and catch all the sights. Very safe feeling about the place. If passing by this city should not be missed. Excellent stopover.
Stayed twice in 3 weeks. First room faced interior courtyard. Very quiet. Room a bit dated.- partly remodeled only
2nd stay did not get interior courtyard room as requested but did not experience noise from fast food operation below so no harm. Room was more fully remodelled. Liked the location near train station. Breakfast room was nicely appointed and breakfast selection was excellent!
Hotel was very bike friendly which is why we choose it
The rooms were clean and were close together as requested since we split family across 2 separate rooms. The weren't super large, but had enough space for what we needed for a 1 night stop on our trip. The bathrooms were good and had what we needed. The hotel had the requested pack and play to use as a bed for our baby which was helpful.
Ideal location just in the middle of Tours, near to all sights and good restaurants, with a view over Loire river. Also, a relatively short and nice walk to the central station in Tours.
Very frendly management at this aparthotel.
Very good bed. Kitchen equipment was cheap but fully functional.
The apartment was spacious and clean.
Excellent boutique hotel in Tours city centre. Ideally located in the street behind the main old town square where all attractions (many bars and restaurants) are located. It looks quite new, the decoration of the common hotel spaces and the rooms is very nice. Very good ratio quality/price. Definitely a place I recommend.
Beautiful location in a quiet part of the city centre. Easy to reach by car and cheap to park for a single night when passing through. Lovely breakfast for the number of guests at the small hotel. Polite service in simple English, which is rare among the French.
Its location is the best of all, just in front of the train station and 20 minutes walking from the center of Tours. We picked up the cheapest room, in the 1st floor, and it was smaller than I thought. Overall it is worth it for the price.
The hotel is very well located to the motorway and is an easy walk over the river to the city centre. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly. I recommend this hotel.
Unbelievably nice 1 bedroom, in the heart of old town Tours. It’s in the center of a huge amount of cafes, bistros and restaurants!
I loved the close proximity to everything.
I have regularly used the cheaper hotels on my journeys in France and I think this has been the best so far. It was worth paying a little more for the more comfortable room.
It is very comfortable hotel with friendly personal! The room is clean and cozy. Good location, two bus stations and city centre are nearby. Also the breakfast is great.
Great location, very good communication with the owner of this boutique hotel. Location is awesome…right in the middle of a very fun pedestrian only street.
Dog friendly. Clean good sized room. Out of town but great tram service right next to the hotel - €3 return for a trip to the old town and dogs allowed!
The hotel reception was exceptional and the room clean. The hotel offers exceptional value and is located about a ten minute walk from the city center.
