We enjoyed the location of the hotel---right on the banks of the mouth of the Tiber River. It was a great place for walk around the beachside community. We used the hotel restaurant for lunch, Happy Hour and dinner------which were all great. We also enjoyed the breakfast in the morning before left for the airport. The airport shuttle bus provided by hotel was very good (and offered at a reasonable price).

We took the hotel shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel. The location catching the shuttle was easy to find and it was a short ride to the hotel. The hotel breakfast was excellent (North American style).

Fiumicino is best known for its access to the Eternal City through Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport. Despite this recent claim to fame, Fiumicino includes several archaeological sites around the ancient harbors of Ostia and Portus. It's also an important fishing center and summer resort, especially along the beaches and coves of Isola Sacra.
Hosting the busiest airport in Italy and the sixth busiest in Europe, the town has grown in a series of services that fit with these suburban functions. Examples are the Fiera di Roma conference center, or the Parco Leonardo recreation center.
The town of Fiumicino is 20 miles from central Rome, while Da Vinci Airport is 19 miles away from the Italian capital. The remains of Ostia Antica are less than 6 miles away.
Like many airports in the world, you can find hotels in Fiumicino Airport directly on its premises, providing effortless access to your flights.
Since most Fiumicino hotels are in the Isola Sacra area, you might get the chance to enjoy the Tyrrhenian beaches and the tasty Italian seafood.

Not enough people working check in.
Not enough people working check in. Only one person and one who seemed to be involved with an issue of another guest( even after that guest left the desk). It wasn’t a long wait but if they had had two active persons checking folks in it would have been better. A/C was hard to regulate and no matter how many times we adjusted it , felt like a refridgerator. There were no written directions anywhere and we did not see a phone to contact the front desk.
Although the shuttles to the airport are not run by Hilton, they were quite taxing. There were two older individuals waiting in motorized scooters to board and the driver never lowered the ramp and quite rudely left without them. He took corners with no regard to passengers at all. A real white knuckle ride!
The taxis outside the Hilton were charging 50e for the 2 mile ride ..

Staff were excellent, location is good, and the facilities in the local area were very good. The local sea food is excellent. Sea front is best place to eat. Taxis and shuttles are reasonable. You dont need to go to Rome. The local council needs to clean up the area

We stayed one night at Il Piccolo before our flight home.
We stayed one night at Il Piccolo before our flight home. The accommodation was really close to the airport and Costantino helped me organise a shuttle to the airport.
The place was lovely and clean and the communication was very good. Breakfast was supplied and it was amazing.
As we had a late flight we were able to leave our luggage at the place while we explored Fiumicino.
Would highly recommend Il Piccolo.

Fiumicino is a charming and real town without the trappings of tourism. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops that seem to cater to more locals than tourists. It was fun to wander about and soak up the atmosphere of this real fishing town.
my stay in this hotel was due to a over-night connection in Fiumicino Airport. the room was clean but very small, I had a big luggage and the only way I could open it was by placing it in front of the frige - so that I couldn't open the fridge... the furniture is a bit old, but still okay. the bed was not very comfortable, but it's okay for a single night stay, I guess. Breakfast is very good, a lot of cakes, but poor choise for salty breakfast. the shuttle to the airport is very useful!
A small family run hotel in Fiumicino very near the airport. Nothing fancy but very nice for a stay before or after arrival at the airport. The family that runs the hotel are wonderful, very friendly and competent. We were in a spacious room on the top floor with a large terrace. The shuttle service to and from the airport (for an extra fee) is convenient. We really like being in the small town and being able to walk to restaurants. Some very good fish restaurants nearby.
The location was perfect. The hotel is about 10 mins to Roma Fiumicino airport and easy to reach with the shuttle they provide. Also, there is a train station called Fiumicino Parco Leonardo just next to the hotel. But there was no noise to bother you. And there was a huge shopping centre nearby (just 1 minute away from the hotel). It was good for us to access the food court and grocery shop. The staff at the reception was also very helpful and friendly.
We needed a place to stay close to the airport and the major hotels closer were booked. it was approximately 15-20 min away and cost €25/30 for a taxi and €30 for an Uber. The rooms were pristine, quite comfortable, and very reasonably priced. The beach was close by and we happened upon a lively street festival on Friday evening. Mary was incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions and setting up taxi service to the airport.
Great location. This small hotel was an unexpected surprise. Not only was it very comfortable and convenient for the airport, but we had the opportunity to explore the old fishing town of Fiumicino. Lots of choice for food along the harbour, from fast fry to slow and intriguing menus.
Staff were warm and very helpful.
We highly recommend, especially if you have to overnight at Rome airport.
Sarah, the owner and host is an ABSOLUTE GEM! She shuttled us to and from the airport (at a very reasonable price of 15 Euros per couple each way), gave us grocery and restaurant tips, cooked us THE MOST EXTRAVAGANT breakfast we have ever seen, provided us with a SPOTLESSLY CLEAN room and even packed us a lunch for our 10 hour plane ride! She puts some 5 star hotels to shame. BRAVO SARAH!!
We needed a hotel near to Fiumicino airport since our flight was really early. We stayed only for our night. The location of the hotel is great for the specific reason and you can combine last minute shopping since shopping malls are next to it. The rooms are modern and clean and the staff really friendly to help us with the transfer to the airport
Paola & Elvira were excellent hosts. They helped suggest restaurants
I had to drop my rental car at the airport & Paola followed me there to drive me back to the hotel. The shuttle service to the airport the next morning was prompt and easy. Un Passo dal Mare is a great choice for an overnight before flying from Fiumicino.
convenient to airport. hotel shuttle picked us up at airport for 6 euro. you do have to wait a bit. the shuttle is used for several hotels. happy hour in bar had a variety of hors d’oeuvres that helped because we had not eaten since breakfast. room very spacious and so was bath room. staff very friendly and helpful.
Such a nice cozy hotel, 5 minutes by taxi from the airport (FCO). The staff is amazing, fantastic breakfast, they even gifted us with a complimentary small bottle of home made liquor. Much better than the big chains, a true Italian experience in the heart of Fiumicino town.
Perfectly near the airport, 24/hr reception so could check in easily despite the flight delay (we have lost money because other Fiumicino hotels found on booking would not accept late check-in), staff very supportive. The suite was excellent and comfortable.
A really good place to stay if you have a day or so to spare before leaving from the airport. Fiumicino is interesting enough in high season. Hotel Tiber has excellent facilities and good views of the river and out to sea! Clean, safe and well-maintained.
Shuttle to and from airport very helpful. We had a problem finding shuttle at airport. Perhaps some instruction when reservations are confirmed would help. Breakfast was very nice - better than most provided by city hotels.
Very comfortable room for an airport hotel while much cheaper than the other hotels. But most of all, super support of the person running it! Very friendly and helpful, drives you to the airport himself whenever you need.
The breakfast was excellent especially for a simple overnight stay. The hotel exceeded expectations deserving repeat visits on requisite overnight stays at this airport. Far better than other local Fiumicino hotels.
This hotel is a very good place to stay if you have an early flight from Fiumicino. Clean and confortable room, it was perfect for a night before my trip. Nice and punctual transfer to the airport.
Small hotel in Fiumicino in walking distance from the beach. Clean room, good breakfast, 10min drive to the Fiumicino airport (30eur fix price as of May2022). Very helpful staff!
The staff were very friendly and we really enjoyed our stay, great Hotel close to Fiumicino Airport. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast excellent.
