Hotel Aliai, hotel in Sciacca

Hotel Aliai has free parking and is set opposite Sciacca’s Marina. All rooms are air conditioned with free Wi-Fi and a sea view.

It took us a while to decide on this hotel. It is right on the harbour, but fairly fast to get to from the main road. The approach is not picturesque but location improves upon arrival. A small personal hotel with some quaint rooms, with a view of the ocean and yacht harbour. The old town of Sciacca is easy to get to if you can climb a few flights of stairs. Many restaurants close by. If you want to have a room with antique flair, stay in the main house, if you prefer more modern and more quiet, ask for the Marina building. Plenty of free parking! And only a short drive to many sights along the cost to Agrigento and to the Palermo Airport.

Sciacca is such a hidden gem of a place.

Sciacca is such a hidden gem of a place. So much to do and see in Sciacca, from the Porto area, where the fishermen bring in their catch of the day and the old apartments and houses in that old, beautiful area of town, to the Centro area of Sciacca, with the beautiful old churches, streets and walled city. The food is of course based around the fresh seafood, that is caught daily. I love everything about Sciacca.

If you like maritime culture and a small unpretentious town...

If you like maritime culture and a small unpretentious town but with excellent seafood restaurants, Sciacca might be for you. It has a big fishing port, very colourful. Up the hill is the main town, classy and attractive and without a lot of tourist trinket shops and other tourist eyesores. It would probably be mellow in summer with everyone out in the cafes all evening. The beaches are outside the town about 15 min. We did an early spring tour of Sicily's southwest coast looking for possible August holiday places for the future. I liked Sciacca.

Sciacca is a perfect place to explore south western Sicily.

Sciacca is a perfect place to explore south western Sicily. The town is easily explored in a half day and has nice stores and restaurants. Definitely prettier and less up and down than Agrigento. It is a little over an hour from the Palermo Airport by car and you can explore the ancient temple of Segesta on the way and only have an hour drive to Agrigento and the many picturesque and historic attractions on the way there. Also Corleone and Piana degli Albanesi are on the way to Palermo for those who are interested in some of the Mafia history.

It is a nice Sicilian town full of History and monuments.

It is a nice Sicilian town full of History and monuments. The city itself is a little gem as you can still see buildings that were built a long time ago still there and in use. Food and restaurants are good too as well as shops and other amenities. The only "black spot" is the fact that if you want to go to the beach you must have a car. In the evening you can enjoy a promenade in the piazza or, if scheduled, watch gigs of live music on the streets.

Sciacca is a charming place for a short stay. The residents are kind and welcoming. We enjoyed walking along the streets and the alleyways and appreciated that it is not packed with too many tourists. It is a also good base to visit The Valley of the Temples in Argrigento.

Very helpful and nice Host! Perfect localisation in port with beautiful view on the sea and port. The appartment was spacious, clean and perfectly equipped. We had wonderful and calm time - the best place in Sicily during our holidays. Every day we were buying fresh frutti di mare in peschateria 3 minutes from the appartment and preparing it in our place. Definitely reccomand! 5 minutes up the stairs you can reach the old city center. It's worth walking and get lost in narrow streets. We recommand also "wild beach" San Marco.

Stylish makeover of a gracious family home. The rooms are bright and inviting. Simple luxury and perfectly styled. Our hosts Ignazio and Simone are beautiful people who provide their accomodation with love, respect and pride. We had a very special experience meeting them and enjoying their hospitality. Sciacca is a great little city. We were sorry we didn’t stay longer. Great tip from our Hosts - was to take an APE tour with Francesco, which they arranged for us (along with our dinner reservations)

Great location right in centre of old town. Fantastic facilities - included breakfast is on the roof terrace which was amazing - really 10/10 delicious 'colazione' - the roof terrace looks out over the town to the sea. Antonella was so helpful with everything - really friendly and would answer any questions about the town etc. Beautiful decorations around the place, really clean. Its kind of a boutique hotel. There is a kitchen area with tables and seats. Shower and Aircon were perfect

The hotel is central and it is a convenient place to stay for a visit to Sciacca. Nearest parking is Piaazza Mariano Rossi - where you have to pay (with mycicero app) - not expensive. We parked in Via Elonora D'Aragona, which is free but is a long climb up to the town. Our host very kindly brought our bags up by car - grazie Signora! Icecreams are good everywhere in Sciily, we know - but the pistacchio in the Bar Caffe Rossi in Piazza Mariano Rossi is truly spectacular!

The house is nice. Our room had a nice balcony to a lemon tree garden. There was room service. Breakfast was diverse and good, including capuccino (or other hot beverage), fruit juice, cornetos with different fillings and sandwiches.it's not identical every day. Location is great, but if you do not like steps (don't go to Sciacca or Agrigento), you need to take a greater turn I think. Fulvio is very concerned about your wellbeing and can give you tips on car rental.

Wonderful recently renovated family hotel, perfect location for a visit to Sciacca. Host Raffaele greeted us with complimentary upgrade to a beautiful room with rooftop terrace overlooking the old town. He makes an excellent cappuccino and delicious breakfast, and also a perfect afternoon spritz. Also a really good neighborhood pizza place right across the street. A short walk to convenient free parking.

Modern, stylish, comfortable. Wonderful bed, big shower..... Location is fantastic. Right by the harbour at the ground floor and easy access to town ( which is all the way up the cliff, from the fifth floor. My GPS took me around a circle for almost an hour before I called the hotel and they told me to put destination as Restaurant porto San Paolo, and that was it.

Silvio and Carmelo were the best hosts. They were so helpful and kind with everything. The breakfast in the grotto was wonderful with local produce. The two roof terraces had comfortable furniture and views. A kettle and tea were available to all and the property was perfectly situated in the centre of the old town with restaurants all around. Perfect!

We loved the blend of very old and very new in this boutique hotel and spa. The renovations are creative, cutting edge and thoughtful in terms of comfort for guests. The staff was lovely, the room beautifully appointed and the bed very comfortable. There is also a full-service spa that we didn’t have time to take advantage of.
