The hotel is small, but the basics are there. Good location. Although the hotel is not in the city center, it is convenient to get there by tram, which goes through the entire city to Germany. Nearby there is a large Auchan, boulangerie. The staff is polite and ready to help. Nice French breakfast. I like this hotel for this price.

FAQs about hotels in Strasbourg

Crossroads of European Culture

Situated on the banks of the River Rhine, Strasbourg is the capital of the Alsace region of France. The medieval city centre, Grande Île, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and houses the glorious sandstone Strasbourg Cathedral and picturesque timber-framed buildings.

The Cathedral of Our Lady is the tallest medieval building in Europe and one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture. It features a remarkable façade, one of the largest astronomical clocks in the world, stunning stained glass windows, and a terrace with panoramic city views.

Enjoy a pleasant walk in the medieval streets of the old town, or visit the charming Petite-France district. Here are some of the range of Strasbourg restaurants serving Alsatian specialities like beef and pork stew with potatoes and carrots, accompanied by local beer and regional white wine.

At the crossroads of European culture, cosmopolitan Strasbourg is home to numerous international organisations including the European Parliament, as well as one of the oldest European universities.

Strasbourg International Airport is easily reached from other international airports, so book your hotel, apartment or bed and breakfast through Booking.com and experience an unforgettable stay.

Magical place wandering around Le petite france area.

Magical place wandering around Le petite france area. Highly recommend the tourist trains (there are two) which both go from either side of the cathedral. 45 mins each circuit. Informative and interesting. Do the one through Le Petite France first as it’s the best. The second one takes you more around the city through university area and past historical german/nazi areas. Make sure to wandering around Le Petite France on foot also though esp around the lock area by the tanners house.

A beautiful medieval town with interesting architecture.

A beautiful medieval town with interesting architecture. The guided tour (which was offered in 12 languages!!) with the boat through the river was nice and interesting. People in general and personnel of the hotel, restaurants and cafes were very polite, smiling and multilingual (something extremely useful if you don't speak French). The famous cathedral was beautiful architecturally but somehow "soulless" and icy cold. The stairs to the top need excellent physical condition. The charge was different for some of us, for no reason. It seemed that the person who was responsible for the tickets decided on spot about the price (some of us paid 8 euros while others 5 euros. We were all the same age with no students...). Unfortunately most of the restaurants and cafes aren't local but Asian so if you want to taste the local dishes you need to search a lot.

Very nice hotel in the center of Strasbourg, we had a great time there. The room was nice with a big and comfortable bed and all the amenities that you need. Great view from the terrasse. The staff was very helpful and always happy to answer any questions we had. The hotel doesn't directly provide parking but you can park in one of the two nearby parkings (5 minutes walk from the hotel) at a reduced rate (18€/day). The location of Hotel Roses is great. The Ill River and its broad walkway is just across the street. It was a short, pretty walk along the river to the Strasbourg Cathedral and the heart of the city. Several inexpensive restaurants are along this walkway. We loved the rose themed decor. Our bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff are very helpful and speak English. The breakfast was ample with a good assortment of croissants, breads, cheeses, meats, and yogurts plus coffee, tea and juices.
