The staff, the cleanliness and the hall / reception beautifully organized with great things to play for kids
This Kyriad is located on the main route between Paris and Brussels, a 3-minute drive from the A2 motorway, and less than a 10-minute drive from Valenciennes town centre.

Great renovation of this hospital with fabulous high ceilings and some modern touches that preserved the historical building. The indoor heated pool is wonderful. The massage too and the restaurant were very decent too. Very accommodating staff. And super dog friendly.

The hotel is clean but fairly basic. It's next to an industrial park, so there arr no stunning views from windows. The reception is not manned overnight and we used a code to get into the hotel after we returned for dinner in the centre of Valenciennes. But it does the job and the people running it were friendly and helpful.
Set in a large garden, this 19th-century mansion is a 5-minute drive from Valenciennes city centre and SNCF Train Station. The charming rooms are spacious and individually decorated.

The breakfast was extra and billed separately, but I would have liked to have seen a refill of the croissants and the pain-au-chocolate in the breakfast as they were exceptional ! ( they ran out during our stay ).

The town had many interesting and historic buildings.
The town had many interesting and historic buildings. We spent time at the St Roche cemetery. The headstones are respectfully cared for with special garden beds adjacent to the plots. The view of the Basilique St-Cordon from our window was stunning with its lights lit up at night. The restaurant Chez Mon Vieux had delicious food.

Suited our purpose (we spent a day in Le Quesnoy).
Suited our purpose (we spent a day in Le Quesnoy). In hindsight we could have done it as a day trip from Paris. Little or no English spoken (or the locals just wouldn’t speak English with us?), we had a translation app that got the job done. Food was good and people friendly / tried to be helpful.
As I’m an architect I work in the residential and commercial sectors. I like to travel and stay in new hotels around the world. My partner and I like spa’s and I found this on Booking.com. I liked the size of the hotel and the space. Some hotels are great but there too small and don’t give you any personal space for yourself or your family, and that’s important with a Spa Hotel. We picked our times correctly and most days we had the spa area to ourselves. I’ll defiantly return in the future.
The Situ Hotel is conveniently located to everything in the heart of the town of Valenciennes. It was a comfortable stay and I would recommend anyone to stay at this quaint hotel for their visit. I would definitely return. Other people have commented about the noise of the trains, but honestly, that isn't really an issue even though the hotel is directly across from the train station. That guaranteed that I would not miss my train, so that was a plus for me. :)
Maison Mathilde is a pearl in the city of Valenciennes. It is an oase of peace, tranquility and luxury in this old North-France city. A major asset to the hotel is Mme Ludivine, who takes care of reception, welcoming, breakfast. Her spirit breaths Maison Mathilde. The overall decoration of the shared functions and the private rooms are beautifully, contemporary designed. We felt very welcome, safe and at home, far away from home.
Amazing house and very friendly staff. This is a historic house and a living museum. I particularly enjoyed having breakfast in the lounge and admiring the history rich room, especially since there are few museums or art galleries in Valenciennes, and the few that do exist in this city were completely closed on Sunday. I also appreciated much the lady who is taking care of the place and who is very friendly and helpful.
The apartment was recently renovated. There is a living room, 2 bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen a bathroom and a separate toilet. The apartment was clean, nicely decorated and well equipped including many little extras. It is located in an old building about 5 minutes to the city centre. We (3 grownups) had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Valenciennes. Merci beaucoup Camille 😊
Very convenient for an overnight stop off the A. Great location for walking the park, old town, and shopping/dinning, area after you arrive. Very nice accommodations and VERY quite. It was nice having a small bar and snack area in the lobby for a glass of wine and some snacks. Exceptional breakfast….WOW! I would stay here again for sure!
The atmosphere of the place is wonderful. The hotel is in a former charming "Maison de maître", a very romantic and calm place. The taste of decoration of the owner is fantastic and could directly come out of a Wes Anderson's movie! It is an amazing place to stay for work but also with your loved one.
This hotel belong to the type of prefabricated hotel quite common in France but unlike most of them, it was reformed and become very pleasant.
The hotel was staffed at night by a pleasant receptionist.
Over average breakfast for this kind of hotel.
Enough free parking places.
Great location with really friendly and helpful staff (let us leave the kids bikes in a conference room so that we could park in the underground secure parking around the corner). Perfect for a stopover back up to Calais and to explore Valenciennes!
Location in front of the train station and about 10 to 15 minutes walk to the main square. There are restaurants in the vicinity including the one from the hotel. Room was nice and relatively quiet. Wifi was good. Staff correct.
Very friendly reception. Very nice design hotel. Beautiful room. It doesn’t get more central right next to the main square and the mall (Valenciennes is not a huge city after all) …. 5 points (google) which I give never easily
The hotel is located close to the main square and within walking distance from the station and all main attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable, although slightly dated.
The bed was comfy. The staff was very nice and understanding. Bathroom was nice, very clean. Parking felt safe. Isolation is good. Baby bed available. Spacious room. Hotel was clean overall.
Very friendly. The room was very nice and relaxing in the jacuzzi after a long day was certainly worht it.
Very quiet area and that gave us a nice rest.
The breakfast was good, and plenty.
This is a special hotel in an old house with related atmosphere. Very quiet, but close to the city center. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is good.
The location was right in the center. Even though it was right in the middle of a shopping area, the mornings and evenings were quiet. I loved the skylight above the bed.
