The quietness and the thoughtful details of the place. I felt welcome and at home at the very first moment.
Loved Ballinasloe. Perfect little town. My Mother's family lived nearby years ago and descendants still in area. For us perfect and lucky with the weather too. Gullanes hotel the very best to get the most of hospitality in the area and hear those amazing local people in town. It is also central.Would recommend to anyone looking for traditional Irish hospitality and welcome.

Ballinasloe in itself is a small town, it took us an afternoon to walk around, visit the different shops, the marina and the three churches. It's very pleasant and the locals are friendly. On the Friday we left there was a indoor market by the cinema selling handmade items from buns to marmalade to baby gifts. Ballinasloe is 30 mins from Athlone and 45 mins from Galway by train, handy spot!

Not a lot do at night. We spent most of the next day in Galway Salthill and Barna, as the evening event I was meant to attend on the Sunday was cancelled. Restaurant in the hotel was very good and very accommodating too.

No tourist town but a working village.
No tourist town but a working village. Access to the rivers for fishing, lots of good restaurants and pubs, hardly any tourists. Watch out for October unless you wish to see the biggest and oldest horse fair in Europe. Centrally located beside the M6. It is a 35 minute bus ride to Galway and 2 hours to Dublin Airport. The Galway bus is a great way to see the countryside and visit Galway without driving yourself.

Ballinasloe is a wonderful place full of tradition and amazing people. The very first person we met worked in Salmons and they greeted us with a smile and a “welcome to Ballinasloe” ! The town has kept its character and it looks like they’re making improvements in the town centre with a load of road works going on. Plenty to see and do too.. love the place 👍🏻
Lovely, super likeable Irish couple, they make you feel like you are at home, they offered me sandwiches and tea just after arriving and I had a meeting next day a bit far so they went far far ahead of what was expected in a hotel to indicate me best way to get there.
breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend anyone to stay with them, they enjoy having clients with them, cant recommend enough my stay, i also owe them an email to enjoy Barcelona next November, my hometown :)
Full marks for this one. I had never been before but would highly recommend. A spacious modern clean hotel with a very customer friendly culture. Staff in the restaurant were amazing and serving everybody although they were really enjoying it and couldn't do enough for you. And the cod and chips was incredible. Would certainly be back.
Comfortable spacious foyer to sit in . Comfortable room and bed and very clean. Excellent food in bar. Chef agrreed to doing a half portion of roast lamb for my mother and myself at a very reasonable rate and it was superb.
Staff very nice and helpful, esp in the bar and serving the food.
Hotel close to shops. Few mins walk.
Beautiful, spotless lovely house.
My big bedroom had the most comfortable bed and cleanest en-suite.
But the best part was the hosts. They were so kind & helpful that it felt like staying with family!
This incredible B&B comes very highly recommended!
You won’t be disappointed😊
Very nice hotel. Receptionist or manager greeted us with professional service.
Perfect location but could do with a transport service from the station.
Also the door would not lock so we had to vacate to another room without a bath.
Other than that we had a great time.
From the minute we entered the hotel, we were made feel very welcome. The check in was very quick. Our room was very spacious, clean, lovely shower and comfortable bed.
Food was amazing for dinner as was breakfast.
All staff were lovely.
The whole stay in Gullane’s is a pleasure the owner and staff are exceptional…l would not stay anywhere else in Ballinasloe…

The food is outstanding
Just love the place
The staff were absolutely brilliant and so helpful. The food in the bar was delicious and the pool was great too. Couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough, especially for families.
