Auberge Le Festival Todra Gorge, hotel in Aït Baha

Located high in the Atlas Mountains, Auberge Le Festival Todra Gorge is an eco-friendly hotel with a hot tub, children’s swimming pool and an organic garden.

The location of this Auberge is so so good: its in the middle of nowhere, very surreal to wake up at. There is a 'family dinner' during the night where they play the djembe and we did the hike after lovely breakfast. One day here is enough. Make sure you arrive before sunset as it is completely dark.

Kasbah Maison D’hôte Lalla Zahra, hotel in Aït Baha

Set in Aït Baha, 1.5 km from Todgha Gorge, Kasbah Maison D’hôte Lalla Zahra features a shared lounge and views of the garden. This guest house features free private parking and a concierge service.

Mohammed was very friendly and helpful, in a very polite and gentle manor. The diners were of very high quality; we were spoilt because after Lalla Zahra other places were never as good! Mohammed brought us to the start of the 10km hike which ends at the Todra gorge, recommended! Here is a great little cafe which also serves delicious tajines. The kasba is very quiet, in a beautiful authentic location. We could easily find it entering the wadi next to the mosque at the main road; you can park at the end at the little water stream from where clear signs lead you to the kasbah.

Set in Aït Baha, 1.3 km from Todgha Gorge, Dar Ayour Todra Gorges offers accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. Private parking is available on site.

We were super happy that we stayed at Dar Ayour. The staff works very hard to make it the wonderful place it is. Would 100% stay there again if we return to Todra Gorge. The dinners were amazing and their chicken tajine with pickled lemon is the best chicken I've ever had! Easy access to the gorge with a short walk through the "gardens", perfect stay for climbers.

    Visit, Visit, Visit.

Visit, Visit, Visit. And if you like to hike, do the climb that starts at the stairs. If you are a good climber, it takes about an hour to get to the top. We crossed paths with goats and nomads along the way! The view is a panoramic view of both sides.

Todra Gorge is a beautiful area.

Todra Gorge is a beautiful area. I went there mainly to climb with a group of friends as it is an area famous for this Etoile de Gorge as the perfect location for this as there is literally great climbing as soon as you step out of the hotel. Many great climbing spots are just within walking distance. And if you drive a bit, you can find more amazing crags. Wi-fi is bad in the entire area. (BTW Orange has zero signal in this area so get a Sim from INWI if you're thinking of coming to Todra Gorge). I would seriously recommend planning for a digital detox and not having to do a bit of remote work as I had to :( as this place is gorgeous and relaxing! Price-wise the whole area it's on the touristy end for food. But this can be said for all hotels and restaurants in the area. Restaurant food prices aren't too different from touristy places in Marrakesh. In other (less popular) places, the food quality is the same and half the price.
