The staff were very lovely, particularly in the restaurants. The food at the restaurants, particularly The Jetty, was delicious too.
Nestled on the edge of the New Forest National Park, the Avon Causeway Hotel is just 1 mile from Bournemouth Airport. With a bar and a restaurant, it is 10 minutes’ drive from Christchurch.

Christchurch is a lovely place- my sister moved there 2 years ago and we are a large family so need other accommodation when we visit. The Avon ticked all the boxes and it was like home from home. Close to everything and not far from the beach.
It is a beautiful part of Britain and unspoilt which I hadn’t visited before - usually going to Bournemouth.
It is a must for families with Avon beach so clean and unspoiled with all the amenities you need. The New Forest is also so close.

Except that the hotel location was too far to walk into Christchurch the town itself is lovely especially the walks alongside of the river.
Also as with every location along this coast parking fees are an issue and excessive

Christchurch is basically unchanged and has a village feel but also has good shopping and a market on Mondays. The priory and the walks along the river are beautiful. There is also the regent theatre which has a variety of entertainment.

Quaint old town with lovely riverside walk and various interesting old buildings. We had an excellent meal at very reasonable prices at the Lock and Quay restaurant and we liked the Kings Arms hotel for a drink - very friendly staff and lovely, stylish decor.

Only stayed for 1 night, but used to live in the area. Christchurch is a nice town, a little drive from hotel to get there, coffee shops, takeaways and restaurants are all there. Easy drive to Bournemouth. At the hotel there is a little contstant background road noise and plane noise from around 7.00 am, but did not distract from the novel themed hotel and the location.

Very lovely area lots to do around or nearby, great pub the amber wood done nice food lovely beaches, great high street should definitely visit the Bournemouth aviation museum if in the area great value at £7 a ticket was such a good day out
We were refused being able to check into the hotel as they stopped check in at 6pm. We requested the alternative check in time and was never sent details or contacted about how to check in. When we arrived we tried to call and was ignored. The owner then turned their phone off. Even booking.com tried to contact them and they wouldn’t answer. We were stranded with no where to stay. They are refusing a refund. Please avoid this scam accommodative. I’m having to go through my bank for a refund now. Avoid avoid avoid!!!!
From arrival to leaving the staff and facilities were excellent. The staff were very welcoming, exceptionally helpful, polite and
nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast and lunch was very good with great customer service. The Hotel has an amazing setting on the river Stour. We didn't need to use our car as managed to walk or catch a ferry to visit Christchurch and the surrounding area. We had such a good time we have booked to stay again next year!
The staff were very friendly engaging in conversation and greeting you whenever they saw you. All the staff were genuinely happy to be there you could tell it was a family run independent hotel not some anonymous chain.
The location was superb overlooking the river and also a short walk to the town centre through the church grounds , this was a last minute change of venue , we are VERY glad we found this hotel and we will definitely be going back.
We had a clean, comfortable, quiet, well-equipped room on the second floor overlooking the courtyard at the back of the hotel. The hotel is in a great location close to the town, the Town Quay and Wick Ferry. Local restaurants and transport facilities are very easy to access.
The hotel’s staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, they couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast and dinner were excellent.
Absolutely fabulous location. Beautiful garden. 2 minute walk to the main shops in Christchurch but tucked away in very private courtyard. Loads of walks. Loads of places to eat and drink. Waitrose just down the road. EXCEPTIONALLY clean - not a speck of dust or dirt in sight. Haven’t ever experienced a place like it.
Tiny, nice hotel, kind and helpful staff, absolutely clean room and bathroom, comfy bed. Coffee and tea machine in the room, so you can easy make a hot beverage and having a rest with, after a busy sightseeing day. The breakfast is also tasty, healthy and beautifully served.
We liked everything about 9A Wick Lane. It is a very well cared for house with plenty of space. We enjoyed it's location in walking distance to the centre of Christchurch, historical places and the quay. We would consider returning and recommending to others.
We we delighted with the service and everything about this hotel. 11 friends and family gathered to celebrate a 60th birthday. Only 8 minutes drive to Christchurch where we did a Treasure Trail. Lovely, picturesque town. Have already recommended the hotel.
Excellent and friendly host. Accommodation and breakfast were top notch. Location was ideal for us since we were visiting elderly aunt in Mudeford. Great location to walk to Mudeford Quay and path to Christchurch. Would use again.
Massive country house, beautifully reworked in a contemporary style inside with a lovely deco area out the back. Superb restaurant and friendly staff located close to the sea in this sought-after area of Dorset. Thoroughly recommend.
It had what i was looking for in Christchurch, Off road parking, Wi-Fi and kettle in the room. The Room was small as was the En-suite. Staff were helpful and friendly. Mobile phone signal not great but OK.
Well planned. Great welcome by staff member. High degree of cleanliness throughout. Gourmet breakfast. A Fullers hotel and ‘Full o Praise’ hope to try another Fullers soon.
Location perfect. Though sometimes noisy in the mornings as on high street.
Christchurch is lovely. So much to see and lovely walks. Great restaurants and good pubs
Sarah was super friendly and very helpfull. This hotel was extremely dog friendly. Convenient location for surrounding area. Hotel provided great breakfast too.
