An exceptional friendly lady at the reception (I think her name is Raja) made me feel welcome
from the very first moment of arrival.
She showed me not only the room but all the plenty facilities offered by the hotel.
It is good value for money.

The location super when you would like to see the life of the street, nice interior part of a building and rooms, however, during July and August time, with no air conditioning you will die. Manager helpful, advised few things.

The rooms were ok but the heater is pretty much useless. The breakfast was below average.

Outstanding service, excellent English and extremely kind personnel. Absolute compliments for all staff. We needed to make a hospital visit and they were very discrete. High standards like they all went to hotel school / facility studies.
Garden and Pool
Excellent food
Highly kids friendly, kids menu and kids chairs.
Hotel Riad Taroudant is located in the Derb Jdid quarter, under the sun of Taroudant, capital city of the province by the same name, the largest province in Morocco.

I was fascinated by the history and the architecture of the building. So many details! The breakfast was magnificent!
Taroudant is a small city full of life.
There is central place were everyone gather, including the few tourists, to eat and be together.
We really enjoyed the sook of course, were we could find nice marocain kraft and sweets for a reasonable price (vs expensive Marrakech:)
Next time I would stay inside the kasbah to be closer to the central square.

What you feel about Taroudant will depend on what you...
What you feel about Taroudant will depend on what you expected. We’ve been on the road three weeks so it, to us, was a small and relaxed souk. Similar to Rabat in many ways you won’t get too much hassle.

I have visited Taroudant twice and I was never impressed.
I have visited Taroudant twice and I was never impressed. However, I have stayed outside of Taroudant in a wonderful old kasbah while traveling through Morocco. That stay has always been a highlight.

Taroundant is a wonderful city.
Taroundant is a wonderful city. It is a beautiful walled city & you can stay inside or outside. Different markets; Grand Souk & Berber souk inhabit the centre & are a maze of colour & excitement. There are western style & Moroccan restaurants & people are very friendly. Outside the city there are wonderful restaurants; eg Les Jardins, Dar Zituone, & places to visit; Agadir (1.5 hours), Chateau Claudio Bravo, botanic gardens etc.
It is a clean small city with a good vibe.

A wonderful experience !
A wonderful experience ! The ‘ real ‘ Morocco IMO , unspoiled by tourism . We were looking forward to the Sunday Market , but it was very disappointing. Lots of vegetables ( available everyday in the Medina) and a sheep and goat section, but mostly Chinese goods and farm implements .
We took a horse drawn carriage in the Medina a couple of times …it was cheap and pleasant .
The locals were quite friendly and a visit to the Berber and Arab handicraft markets were interesting .
All in all a great visit for a couple of days . Don’t miss the Palm oasis and Ancient Kasbah about a half hours drive from the Town center.

Lively city, good souks, lots of interest.
Lively city, good souks, lots of interest.
Very little hassle so easy to wander round and enjoy the sights.
Ideal for winter spring and autumn but would be blistering hot in summer.
Perfect distance for a couple of days out from Agadir.
I enjoyed being welcomed by Said on his sunny terrace with a cup of Moroccan tea, and I loved the chilled music in the background. Said creates a magical atmosphere and also gives helpful information on where to eat and what to see. He makes one of the best breakfast I had in Morocco with delicious homemade pancakes and jam.
This place was one of the highlights of my trip to Morocco, and I wish I could’ve stayed longer! Taroudant is an authentic town, worth visiting, I’ll definitely go back one day 🙂
The place is new.
The owners are European one and Moroccan the other one. So perfect to understand each other and eventually find local help for anything from shopping to emergency doctor (as it happened to us!).
So we really tested their hospitality 360 degrees and we were very happy.
There are other places in Taroudant, but the overall quality/cleaness/location/price combination/amenities, so far, for us is the best and we will definitely come back here next time.
honestly speaking we did not had any expectations about Riad Tafilag and the city of Taroudant but this riad and the staff is incredible. As we arrived we had a warm welcome and they helped us with our questions and check in. During our stay we felt very welcome and comfortable. The food that is being served during diner is outstanding. The made us some local food and served a nice glass of Maroccan wine with it. Riad Tafilag offered the best hospitality in Marocco.
Very pleasant stay. The hotel has a big beautiful garden, swimming pool and private parking- the entire complex surrounded by the wall. We were welcome with fresh fruits. The room was already warm when we arrived. The bed and bathroom was really big. We also had a very good massage with argan oil- maybe one thing that can be improved: some relaxing music in the background would be a nice idea. The breakfast was tasty with a very good coffee from the coffee express.
the property was beautifully decorated and well maintained. unfortunately there was no terrace. We had a double and single bed — the green room with a full washroom and small couch. it was comfortable.
pros- mattresses were good, friendly staff, good food,
cons — hard pillows, no window in our room so it felt stuffy and stale, they will not do breakfast before 8:30, so if you are an early riser this is very inconvenient.
Everything, the most amazing and best accomodation in Morocco that we stayed in on our trip. The quality of the furnishings and the decor was top class. The bed was so big and comfy, the bedding exceptionally quality. The breakfast, delicious with fruit, yogurt, pancakes, cake, fresh oranges juice, tea and coffee. The staff are so friendly and informative. Don't hesitate to book, you won't regret it.
This is a little gem. Every room is different and the Berber architecture is magnificent.
This place was obviously reconstructed by passionate Berber craftsmen.
Location is central and just off the market square with a peaceful ambiance.
Brahim and staff are exceptionally friendly, rooms are very comfortable & clean and the food on offer is satisfying.
Secure parking 2 minute walk.

Great place in the city center, cozy environment. A lovely, cheerful owner and his two dogs, which is quite rare in Morocco. The host arranged for us a carriage ride around the medina, stopping at more interesting places. Although the driver only spoke French, he was very helpful.
Wonderful staff, beautiful hotel situated in a kasbah, excellent food and really cool outside area and rooftop terrace. The service is excellent! And all this luxury comes at reasonable prices :-)
in short - the best hotel we stayed in our 2 weeks in Morocco. By far!
We stopped in Taroudant on our way to Merzouga. It was a great, spacious apartment, we comfortably fit the 5 of us. Omar is a great host who greeted us late at night, and helped us with packing the car the next morning. Highly recommend it!!
