Really great hotel to stay in the south of island. Unfortunately we’ve only been there for one night. The staff is very friendly and open for any questions. Delicious dinner at the restaurant and a perfect breakfast. The hotel offers a lot of activities like horse riding or hiking tours. Comfortable beds. We didn’t miss anything

The hotel's owners were incredibly friendly, kind and generous (they even gave my daughter a birthday present). The tent was warm and very comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep. Everything was clean and well looked after.

The beds and pillows were comfortable and water hot. A kitchen was available for use by all guests. A common area, which included a dining room, was available for all meals. Games and books were provided along with information about the area. Waffles were made for breakfast by the owner. The location outside of Hella meant it was very quiet and beautiful.

The family-owned Hótel Lækur is set on an Icelandic horse farm, between the Golden Circle and the south coast. Hella is 10 minutes’ drive away. It offers a sun terrace and a guest lounge.

I wish our stay was longer, we only stayed for a night and I can say it was great, the food at its restaurant is great and delicious with a service that elevates the food, the place is beautiful and charming, more than the photos reveal. I really loved this place and the sauna and jacuzzi area were a great way to warm my body after a cold day in Iceland. My wife and I had a great time, only thing that I would have wished was to be able to see the aurora there, we were in a cloudy night so there was no luck, but given the area they are in I bet it is a wonderful sight.
