Looked like a fairly new Hotel, very clean and spacious. Bed and pillows excellent, very comfortable and quiet nights sleep. Staff were very attentive, kind and helpful Well done:-) Nice clean kitchen to use and free coffee

Beautiful setting, very kind hosts, comfortable. Meals were great and plenty. Three nights was a great idea, you get to relax and enjoy Japan at a different pace. Lots of walk in the countryside. We were very happy with our choice, off the beaten path, but very easy to get to.

I liked everything but I especially loved the Hot Bath and the systems and timings. It is the first time in my many travels that the Hot Bath was opened from 2:00 PM till 10:00AM which was perfect. In most other hotels the Hot Bath closes around 11:00PM so we have to rush back from dinner if we want to take a nice long bath. They also had a fantastic relaxation room for after your bath. You could literally fall asleep there in comfort. Breakfast too was good and the staff throughout the hotel were excellent. Location was the best. We stayed 3 nights but could have stayed more. Will go back for sure.

the best ryokan experience and more. we booked a room with private bath and full board. the room was huge with a massage chair, 2 big screen tv, separate room for toilet and shower and even a closet. all the amenities were amazing, they even have facial cleanser, toner and moisturiser. there’s even yukata for you to wear. there’s also a nespresso machine. the private onset was bliss, big enough to fit 2 and next to it is a beautifully made Japanese garden. we had a beautiful romantic getaway. and don’t worry about it being far, there’s a shuttle bus service you can request with the ryokan.

This hostel was amazing! I stayed with my friend and we were in the 6 person women’s room. The host and her family were amazing, so lovely and accommodating. The beds were really comfortable - the linen was so nice and I had an outlet and a light and a shelf and some floor space around the bed. We had space to put out suitcases and safes. The washing machine and laundry detergent etc were free to use. There’s a great onsen close by and you get discounted entry by staying at the hostel

Renovated in 2014, Hotel Binario Saga Arashiyama offers a restaurant, a café and a public bath. JR Sagaarashiyama Train Station and Torokko Saga Station is just a minutes’ walk away.
