We loved everything about this delightful guesthouse in beautiful Takayama, especially the wonderfully charming host, Hiromi, and her lovely husband Aki and gorgeous friendly dog Cocoa. We were treated to delicious, abundant breakfasts each morning, and Hiromi was informative, engaging and very helpful. The perfect host. The location is great and the house is spacious and very well appointed. We were the first Australian family to stay at the property and we will definitely be letting all our friends know they should stay there too!

The owner was super responsive. I have absolutely zero complaints about the accommodation. Spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable. The location was perfect for walks into the old town, Miyagawa morning market, Takayama Jinya etc. The owner also operates a coin laundry just next door. With state of the art washing machines, it was super convenient.

Close to the train and bus stations, our room had large luxurious beds, a very large bath with views of the town and generally one of the largest hotel rooms we stayed in during our Japan holiday. We booked "Family Room with Private Bathroom". Staff were helpful and provided good recommendations for restaurants upon request.
