We flew into Christchurch as we wanted to start our NZ adventure on the South Island. We arrived in the morning and Cathy & Grant let us check in early. Once settled, they suggested some ideas for that afternoon as well as several options for lunch & dinner . All of there recommendations were great. The location of the lodge is in a peaceful garden with a stream flowing through the back yard. We had a great night’s sleep as it has to be one of the quietest places in New Zealand. We spent the next day in Christchurch and a second peaceful night of sleep and we were well on our way to time zone adjustment and ready to explore more of the South Island. Thanks Cathy & Grant

Absolutely amazing hostel experience. Probably the best hostel I have stayed at! The beds were comfortable, the room and the hostel was clean and everything you could ask for they had it. Great relaxing area, amazing kitchen, working area and really fast internet. The staff were amazing as well.
