Amazing views, great location, friendly, helpful staff. We had to check out early on our last day and staff had a to go breakfast ready for us. Close to the village, which was beautiful and a great place for dinner and sunset. Highly recommend staying here.

The location was great with beautiful views. It's very quiet and we could enjoy every part of the island easily by car. There is also a cool short Banana route close by the RB2 Vereda do Nateiro and other beautiful waterfalls at Ponta do Sol. The garage is a bit tricky if you have a low car. It has a nicely equipped kitchen. They had a welcome basket with fruits for us. It is ideal for a family or a group of friends. We would definitely choose the same place next time. Enotel, if you have not heard of them, is a well-established chain of hotels and resorts in Madeira. Enotel Sunset Bay is located right on the seafront at Ponta do Sol with restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The hotel consists of several 'buildings' or rather facades, so I was surprised when I walked in to see a huge lobby. There is also a heated indoor pool next to the reception. For an overnight stay on the 10. January, I was given a room with a great balcony overlooking the sea. The room has 2 huge beds, the decor, bathroom, cleanliness, and size all exceeded my expectations. The breakfast is excellent, and we are spoilt for choice. I especially recommend the receptionists who were very friendly and helpful with tips. After a 30km walk from Funchal - it made such a difference to have such friendly personnel and a nice hotel room!

Booked on short notice, no problems - the key was ready at our arrival! And what a view!!! High up on a mountain side overlooking the valley and ocean towards the east, making you setting the alarm clock early the next morning so you won't miss the sunrise! And the breakfast! Friendly and welcoming staff and eating as much as you can - nothing left to wish for! The host, Dieter, welcomed everyone personally at breakfast and we had a nice chat about this marvelous place.

We enjoyed our Madeira holiday fully, we had a great room on the 7th floor, and loved to swim at the beach. The location in Calheta is fabulous, about 20 mins by bus to Funchal to enjoy the town for a day, great marina and hot spot for marlin fishing. Taxi service was also great, we used Nelson Lala - Taxi 0714 to tour the island and go do great adventures and airport transfers. He is very reliable and his service was great. I highly recommend the Saccharum - Resort and Spa - Savoy Signature as a destination stay from which to explore all of Madeira.
