The host is a nice and funny person, always with a smile on his face and very thoughtful ☺️ The homestay is lovely and full of colorful plants 🌸 We have breakfast every morning and you can also rent a motorbike in the same place on a very good price 😁 We definitely are coming back ❤️

Dung Lai Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in Cat Ba, and I’m so glad I chose it. The hotel is incredibly peaceful, making it perfect for those looking to escape the city’s hustle and bustle. A big highlight is the beautiful ocean view, which gave me a relaxing start to each day and stunning sunsets in the evening. Conveniently located near the center, it’s easy to get to popular spots around the island. The owners are local, very friendly, and incredibly welcoming. They even invited me to join them for meals with local dishes, making me feel right at home. This warm hospitality made my stay especially memorable.

Nam, our Host did just the best job. His recommendations lead us through our visit on the island. Just ever hint he gave us was pure gold. He also made the impossible things possible ordered all the good tours, the scooters and our connection to our next traveling Station in Ninh Binh. The room we had was quite comfortable, the bed was nice, everything was clean, especially the shower was the best I saw until now in Vietnam. (not these whole bathroom is a shower thing)

The staff were amazing! Especially Linh, who was friendly, funny, and helpful the whole time. Linh signed us up for a boat tour and her husband tightened the breaks on our motorbike. The whole family is wonderful. The breakfasts are big and delicious, the dinners were tasty, and the room had everything we needed. Plus the pool is a nice touch. I worked recommend renting a motorbike to get around the island because it's too far to walk. We would definitely stay here again!

The location is amazing: in a calm area, far from the city center, in the middle of the nature. The staff is super friendly and ready to help.
