Funny Monkeys is the perfect home stay located in Phong Nha. It was clean, our room was comfortable and provided all the necessities for a 2 night stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful, assisting us in organising taxi transfers and booking a tour to the caves. Funny Monkeys is situated right on the riverside which makes for a beautiful back drop and the resident dog, Coca is adorable. I also appreciated the laundry service provided by the staff, and the communications with Thuy prior to our arrival. Phong Nha is our favourite location so far in our travels through Vietnam and this is definitely attributable to the wonderful stay we had in Funny Monkeys. Added bonus: the home stay is environmentally conscious and tries to reduce waste which is important to me as a consumer.

Very big rooms, Very clean toilet, Amazing mountain view from the room and last but not least the Hospitality and Friendliness of Song Toan and his family. Very recommended for its position (super easy to be picked up here when booking cave tours) about 3-5 minutes from the main square where the boats are. Also Song Toan with his daughter are always there to help , They're very very kind! Keep a look at the entrance when you stop by, and ask few infos about the war memorabilia he has exposed!

Thank you for all. All was perfect. The kindness of the host, spending time with all the family, and share rare moments in the middle of Rice fields were incredible! The food was so delicious and you can rent a scooter to travel by your own. I really recommand.

Lovely family run hotel that overlooks the peaceful Son river. The view is awesome. It's away from the busy town center, but not very far. There is a nice restaurant "Pi and Gao Quan" nearby proposing some typical local food and excellent bubble teas.

We had an amazing time at Phong Nha Friendly Home! Our host came to pick us up at 1 am when we arrived by bus, and provided us with a temporary accommodation while waiting for our room:) He brought us to visit the Paradise Cave, and he booked for us an excursion for the next day. The food was super tasty, we had a great family dinner and breakfasts:) he booked for us the bus transfer to Hoi An and brought us there in the morning:) we felt really taken care of, totally recommended!
