Upon arrival, the friendly staff welcomed us in a very quick manner, which was much appreciated. Cutlery, towels and washing necessities were also provided. The overall vibe was very peaceful and homely, a perfect reflection of the picturesque surroundings. I should also point out the nearby BILLA, which was a massive plus and saved us in the morning. Ski slopes are very close, and the nearby railway is like a dream come true for rail fans, though the astonishing scenery makes it a pleasure for hikers as well.

Located 17 km from Burg Lockenhaus, Hotel Post Hönigwirt offers 3-star accommodation in Kirchschlag and features a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. The manager and taff were so friendly and helpful. We were even picked up from the train station because we had lots of bags and it was a bit far to walk with them! They also helped us to hire some bikes and were so kind and accommodating throughout our stay. So big thanks for making us feel so welcome!!
