Set within 22 km of Aga Khan Mausoleum and 1.1 km of Nubian Museum, Awi Guest House features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Aswan. We had an absolutely amazing time at awis guesthouse! Awi and his family are super nice, hospitable and he is helpful with trips and suggestions. The apartment is very cozy and clean with an awesome view. The house is located directly at the Nile and has a lovely terrace. Infront of the house you have trees and in the gardens there are some sheep’s and few cows living. The neighbors are also very friendly. The guesthouse is close to the ferry. Nearby you find great food and coffee at Nubian dreams and sudanuba. We would have liked to stay so much longer! All the best from Jonathan and Isa

Situated in Aswan, Meshra Katto offers beachfront accommodation 23 km from Aga Khan Mausoleum and features various facilities, such as a private beach area, a garden and a bar. This place offers excellent value for money, providing a peaceful escape in the heart of a lively city. The room was authentic, clean, and quiet, with windows that allowed us to sleep with fresh air, thanks to the included mosquito netting. The breakfast was good, featuring omelets, snacks, and a falafel option instead of meat. Enjoying breakfast on the rooftop with a stunning view of the Nile was a highlight. The hotel is easily accessible by public ferry, followed by a short walk across the small island. Despite its size, the island felt calm and welcoming. Mohammed, our host, was incredibly helpful, offering tips on local attractions and transport. He also gave us guidance on prices to avoid being scammed, which was much appreciated. He organized a trip to Abu Simbel for us and even packed a breakfast for the journey. A thoughtful surprise was the boat transfer to the hotel on our arrival day, especially since our flight was delayed, and we were exhausted. It was a much-needed gesture. Overall, a fantastic experience with personal touches that made our stay memorable.

Retac Abu Simbel Nefertari Hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Abu Simbel. This 5-star hotel offers a bar. This hotel has been absolutely amazing! It’s literally just two minutes from the Abu Simbel Temple — the perfect location. The property is new, beautiful, and spotless, with a stunning infinity pool overlooking the desert and Lake Nasser. Watching the sunset from their terrace is truly magical. The food is delicious and freshly made, but what really makes this place special is the people. The staff are incredibly warm, kind, and attentive. A special thank you to Asma, who greeted me so warmly at reception, organized my airport transfer, planned my morning visit to the temple, and helped with every little request. She was always available, caring, and made sure I felt completely comfortable during my first time in Egypt.

Situated within 23 km of Aga Khan Mausoleum and 600 metres of Nubian Museum, Nubian Life Nile View offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Aswan. Mustafa made our trip to Aswan. He is a great host and very hospitable, and we felt very loved during our stay. The family is wonderful, his brother Siko is also a great company, and his wife is a wonderful cook that prepared amazing fresh fish and breakfast every day. All our trips were organized with Mustafa on his various boats, and we were able to go places we didn't even imagine. The memories of the days in Elephantine will feed our wistfulness until we are able to return. The rooms were big, clean and super comfortable, very well equiped. The rooftop is the crown jewel, with the amazing views, privacy and good vibes in general, we loved spending some mornings and evenings there. With the help of Mustafa, we got to see wonderful hidden things in Aswan on the great boat rides he would take us; we visited the Nubian Village, walked around and met great people; we tried the amazing nubian coffee and got a sense of a slow paced life on the shores of the Nile. A very big and warm thank you to Mustafa and his family for making this trip to Aswan the highlight of our trip to Egypt. It will definitely stay with us for a long time and we will return to his lovely home as soon as we get a chance.
