Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Blackstairs Shepherds Huts is a campground situated in a historic building in Killedmond, 15 km from Carrigleade Golf Course. It was very comfortable and the hostess was super. We had great accommodations and excellent breakfasts and on our last morning, the hostess brought us some fresh honeycomb from her own bees which was very special.

Boasting lake views, Southern County Resort provides accommodation with patio, around 13 km from Altamont Gardens. We stayed for 1 night. The cabin is located in a peaceful countryside. There are artificial lakes for fishing. The cabin is completely made of wood and makes it a special feeling. We got to see a fox in front of the cabin in the morning, it was something new and interesting for us.

THE ROOM WAS LARGER THAN WE RESERVED, SO IT WAS A WONDERFUL SURPRISE FOR US. THE HUGE BATHROOM WITH SHOWER AND BATH WAS ALSO A SURPRISE. WE DID NOT BOOK DINNER IN ADVANCE, BUT CHANGED OUR MIND AND WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE FOOD AND THE NEXT MORNING WITH BREAKFAST. WE WILL NEVER FORGET EVENING SITTING BY THE OPEN FIREPLACE WITH BIRCH LOG BURNING.

Nestled against the banks of the River Barrow and surrounded by luscious green grounds, the 4-star Woodford Dolmen Hotel Carlow is located just outside Carlow. The room was lovely and spacious. The breakfast was also really nice and the staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Matty's Pub - Apartment's is a recently renovated apartment situated in Carlow, 13 km from Leinster Hills Golf Club. The owners and locals were very welcoming. We popped into the pub for a drink and stayed on for several hours. They were loads of fun. The warm jacuzzi was a real treat.

The staff were great, I arrived a little early and was able to access the room immediately. Reception were helpful with any questions I had and the ,location was perfect, close to the train station as well as the wedding I was attending.

In the Heritage Village of Leighlinbridge, just 10 minutes from Carlow and 20 minutes from Kilkenny off the N9, the Lord Bagenal has been renowned for award-winning food and wine. The breakfast was great. All the food was fresh and well prepared. There was an issue with Booking.com not forwarding our prepayment to the hotel. When this was brought to the attention of reception, it was promptly investigated and resolved to my full satisfaction. A great staff at reception.

Situated in Oldleighlin, in a historic building, 12 km from Leinster Hills Golf Club, Carey's Bar & Farmhouse Kilkenny Border is an apartment with a terrace and bar. Very warm cosy clean and comfortable we were only staying 1 night on our way to Kilkenny but it was so comfortable we had a very restful night and we had freedom to do our own cooking which was ideal. Husband appreciated Guinness from Pub
