With an 18-hole championship golf course, a 20-metre pool and a luxurious spa, Slieve Russell Hotel is set within 300 acres of grounds. This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The rooms were large and beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities you would expect in a high end hotel. The views out our room of the golf course were lovely. The included breakfast was a typical European buffet with all the variety you would expect. The hotel is not really near anything, so you are going there to enjoy that property. And there is much to enjoy. We wished we could have stayed there longer.

This 18th-century castle has a quiet location, looking out over huge grounds and beautiful countryside. It is now a 4-star hotel, mixing original character with modern luxury and free parking. Can not fault a thing with this place

In 1,300 acres of country estate, the luxurious Farnham Estate Spa and Golf Resort has a spa with an outdoor infinity pool, forest walkways and an 18-hole golf course. Cavan Town is 3 km away. Excellent service and attention to detail. Dillon was fantastic behind the bar a true professional.

Situated in Virginia, 16 km from Loughcrew Estate and Gardens, St Kyrans Guest House features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The owners were very kind and accommodating. The hostess upgraded us to a lovely room. It was quiet with a beautiful view of the lake bordering the property.

Dungimmon House is set in Ballyconnell, 7.4 km from Drumlane Abbey, 16 km from Ballyhaise College, as well as 20 km from Cavan Genealogy Centre. Absolutely picturesque property in a handy location close to local pubs, bars and shops, only 5min drive. Comfy, well appointed room, quality freshly cooked breakfast and our host had thought of everything to make us welcome.

Offering a garden and garden view, Majestic Cavan Burren, 4 Bedroom, Dream Holiday Home is situated in Cornagee, 2.5 km from Killinagh Church and 13 km from Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark. Property was excellent and clean. Location is awesome and facilities were good. Only thing is some basic groceries were not provided.

Toddys Hideaway is set in Cavan, 12 km from Cavan Genealogy Centre, 20 km from Ballyhaise College, and 23 km from Drumlane Abbey. So cosy. We stayed there 2 nights and were given the right amount of information prior to our stay about the location, how to get in and how to turn heating on and the facilities are all you need. They left us bread, milk, eggs, juice and other essentials etc and it’s not far from Ballinagh where you can get anything else you may need. Great weekend

Offering barbecue facilities and inner courtyard view, Castlehamilton Mill Cottage is located in Killashandra, 8.8 km from Drumlane Abbey and 17 km from Ballyhaise College. Peaceful, comfortable stay in farmyard apartment, with easy 15-minute walk into Killashandra for shopping and pub, and other walks in adjacent countryside. Friendly, helpful hosts made sure to let me know about music nights at local pub.
