This hostel is located on Berunes farm by the Ring Road and is 45 km from the village of Djúpivogur. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and lounges. Free WiFi is available. One of the nicest places we have visited during our Iceland trip. The view from our little room was amazing, a really wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend to enjoy a dinner here, too. It has been the best food we had during our trip. The hosts are very sweet and welcoming and our experience at this hostel has been excellent.

Featuring river views, Hjartarstaðir Guesthouse offers accommodation with patio, around 37 km from Gufufoss. There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay.... Very nice and comfortable...very quiet and in a perfect location. Nice view from the windows.

The owner was really friendly and the whole farm was great. They are making their own bread and maramelades for the breakfast and the lamp meat is also their production. Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. The best stay of our whole trip. Friendly staff. Great room. Great facilities. Wonderful dining. A spa.

Berjaya Hérað Hotel is situated in Egilsstadir, 5 km from Lagarfljot River. It offers a terrace bar and 24-hour room service. All rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wooden floors. The breakfasts, the clean rooms and the location. Staff great .

Set in Skjöldólfsstaðir, Hotel Studlagil offers 3-star accommodation with a garden, a restaurant and a bar. The hotel features family rooms. At the hotel, all rooms come with a desk. What didn’t I like…the stay was wonderful at Hotel Studlagil. The staff person was friendly and even shared a lovely conversation with us in the evening. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in this area of Iceland!

A good location for a relaxing stay in Vopnafjörður, Ásbrandsstadir Cottages is a holiday home surrounded by views of the lake. Small but cosy cabin in an amazing location with mountain views and the sound of sheep in the background. The host was very friendly and welcoming and was flexible about check-out time etc. For all that, the price was very good value.
