This is literally the house of waleed’s grandfather in the old village of Dana, which he renovated as a small hotel. The generosity and hospitality and warmth of the family is what makes it so special — I stayed only one night but left with so many wonderful memories. I speak some Arabic, so my particular experience may have been extra special—but I feel like anyone with a heart will feel at home. My day in Dana was honestly the highlight of my time in Jordan—not as flashy as Petra or wadi rum, but absolutely stunning and full of genuine and wonderful people. It is rustic — so if you really need a modern style hotel, this is not your place. But it was cozy and comfortable and warm and wonderful; what more could I hope for?

Breakfast was delicious, fresh eggs made as I like and waffles! About minute walk (uphill) from Petra museum and visitor center, fabulous location. The robe was such a lovely touch and so comfortable.

Mohammad and his family were such kind hearted, warm and welcoming hosts. The food Mohammad’s mom cooked for us was out of this world delicious. We even had a little medical situation with our 7yo and Mohammad and his dad were so helpful in getting medical care for him. That was beyond their call of duty and so kind of them to do.

The room with the mountain view is amazing - sunset from this place was maybe the most beautiful we've seen in Jordan.. There is a rooftop restaurant where people fight to take places next to window, while you can get it just for yourself, sitting in comfortable chair. very tasty breakfast. But this is not the best in this hotel. The lady supervisor is the nicest, the most organized person I've met in any hotel. Whatever we needed, one word and she took care of it. Confidence, control and positive energy. She could easily be head of any hotel in the world. Great stay, fully recommend

He not only helped plan our 2-day trip in Petra, but also took us to watch sunset at the hilltop + offered us wonderful homemade dinner. 100% recommend!
