The lush gardens full of birds, the beautiful pool, and our charming casita with a super comfortable bed, hammock and private terrace made it easy to relax. The WiFi worked great throughout our stay, which was a big plus. The staff — Jey, Sebastián and Mia — were warm, attentive, and helped with everything from taxis to beach clubs. We took an ADO bus to Bacalar and a short taxi (about 30 mins / 200–250 pesos) to the property, and got around easily without a car. We loved the breakfast and dinner plan — every meal was delicious (favorites were butter chicken, cochinita pibil and tuna poke bowl!). We also recommend Sebastián’s private sailing tour — a serene experience with guacamole and drinks on the beautiful northern lagoon. The small town of Buenavista feels rustic, safe and peaceful, with lagoon access a short walk away. We highly, highly recommend staying here!

Great location near all Playa had to offer, short walk to cafes, restaurants, beach. Nice neighborhood. Great facilities and very comfortable. Underground parking was very useful.

Lumina at LOSANTOS Tulum bevindt zich in Tulum Pueblo, op 5,1 km van Archeologische vindplaats Tulum en 2,5 km van Tulum Bus station. This is not a resort; it is an apartment in a gated community of condos. The apartment, building and grounds are safe, clean and beautifully maintained. The one bedroom apartment with balcony is comfortable and mostly well equipped, perfect for two people. The large communal pool and surrounding area provide a lovely spot to lounge and relax; we were frequently the only ones making use of it. Within walking distance (5-15 minutes) there are some good restaurants and excellent coffee shops. For groceries Fresh Market sells some basic supplies but for proper grocery shopping “Chedruai” mall has everything you could need. It is a 30 minute walk so be prepared to pay $250MXN for a taxi. (Be sure to negotiate the price before you get into the car). There are no Lumino staff on site but communicating with our concierge was simple and quick (thank-you Stephanie).

We stayed in an ocean front unit for our honeymoon which wasn’t cheap but highly recommend it!

Hotel team was exceptionally nice and helpful. Rooms and all common spaces in the hotel are very beautifully designed and are very-very clean.
