Well set in the centre of Christchurch, Drifter Christchurch provides air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a terrace. Location, cleanliness, environment, facility. Location is so good, just next to bus station (interchange), just get off bus from airport..1 min walk to get into Drifter Christchurch. Bus to Akaroa or to Tekapo/Mt Cook...also right next to the hostel. So good that no need to rush with all luggage. Cleanliness in room, shared toilet/shower, social area, kitchen. Environment -- I really like lighting, decoration in social area, feel warmed Facility -- my first time to use virtual key through App which is cool and make me feel safe. The bunk bed seems stronger than other hostel (at least the best in my whole trip) so I wasn't afraid bothering others all the time.

Breakfast was a decent continental.the coffee in the breakfast room was not as good as the coffee in the conservatory. The room was beautifully designed with all that was needed. The history and beauty of the building have been loving incorporated into the hotel.

Well appointed kitchen, nice size, great porch, very quiet. Location pretty close to town, could walk. Grocery store close by. Most restaurants downtown. Washer and dryer worked well. We used the BBQ 3 nights, great!
