Well set in the centre of Christchurch, Drifter Christchurch provides air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a terrace. I have traveled through many Asian and European countries and I have stayed in many dorms. And none of them come close to the level of this one. From check-in experience to 24h open public areas. Rooms dedicated to work, reading, watching things and many activities and games. Great bar attached to it. Nothing squeaky, bathrooms are clean, shampoo and shower gel in every shower. The bed, extremely comfortable. The whole place looks clean and well maintained. And the location is right next to the main station! All of this for the price of a standard dorm bed! The price is not fair for them.

Situated in Christchurch, 1 km from Canterbury Museum, The Mayfair features accommodation with a fitness centre, private parking, a restaurant and a bar. We were staying in another Christchurch hotel which was about a 15 minute walk away. The Mayfair is a little off from the CBD but walkable. Because it was my birthday, I believe our room was upgraded and we were quite happy with all aspects of the suite, from all goodies to bathrobes to a motion sensor nightlight on the way to the bathroom.

This hotel is very close to the airport. The staff are very friendly. Parking is very convenient and the staff will tell us where to park. The room is clean and tidy, and the facilities are complete. I highly recommend it.

Well appointed kitchen, nice size, great porch, very quiet. Location pretty close to town, could walk. Grocery store close by. Most restaurants downtown. Washer and dryer worked well. We used the BBQ 3 nights, great!
