Situated 500 metres from Monastery of Alcobaca, Montebelo Mosteiro de Alcobaça Historic Hotel offers 5-star accommodation in Alcobaça and has a bar. The breakfast was very good, a lot of variety. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. They did a very good thing in the renovation, it looks very good for an very old cloister. The best thing about the hotel is the spa. We booked a massage (very reasonable prices for a 5 Star hotel, not overpriced) and Vania just has magic fingers. The reception also told us that she won a price with her work, no surprise. If you ever stay here book a massage, i can really recommend.

Great location, spotless small hotel with comfortable bed and nice modern bathroom. Secure parking on premises for 5 euros a night, space permitting. The breakfast was very good and all the staff are charming and helpful. We will definitely return again.

17 km from Baleal, Quinta Mourada is a recently renovated property set in São Bartolomeu and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. This was an amazing location! Bianca is the perfect host with her positive energy and the delicious breakfast she prepares every day (homemade bread, granola, cake, juice, infusion, etc). It is one of the rare B&Bs where you can enjoy a good espresso! The quinta has a very relaxing atmosphere with the big pool, the animals (gooses, cats, goats, etc) and generous common areas.

Very close Óbidos, a quick 5 minute drive. Antonio and his father were super hosts and very friendly. Loved the location with the country setting and the pool was fantastic. Very clean. We would definitely stay here again. Antonio provided us with some great tips of where to visit and where to eat - the restaurant just up the road was very good (about a ten minute walk).
