Abdul the owner has a fantastic command of English and was incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean with super fast WiFi. I was travelling alone, but there are two huge double beds that could accomodate two travelling couples or a small family. Cabins come with two AC units that cooled the rooms to near arctic conditions. The cabin resort is a ten minute walk to the train station, which will take you south into Malaysia and beyond. There are a number of restaurants close by, as well as Mini Marts, convenience stores and fast food outlets.

Situated on Sathing Phra Beach, Ao Thai Resort offers modern air-conditioned bungalows with free Wi-Fi. Guests can relax by the pool or indulge in massage treatments. Breakfast was grand, the owner Uwe very client-focused, the whole organisation & maintenance perfect, the food excellent & with a quick service, the beach regularly swept (to avoid the piles of garbage brought by the sea on either side) Nothing to fault them on, except maybe the staff lack of English (which is manageable by the ever-present Uwe). Great place to spend relaxing time.
