We can only recommend this stay and would come back in a heartbeat. The room and facilities were great and the garden is gorgeous. The hosts were very friendly and eager to help. They even accomodated secure storage beyond checkout time for my mother's luggage who had a broken collarbone.

We loved staying at the quaint little ‘Ofenhaus’! It was everything we expected, based on the Booking.com description, and maybe even a bit better. :) The cleanliness was exemplary! I really am quite exacting concerning hygiene — and this place was literally spotless! The whole place smelt of fresh laundry when we walked in — it really doesn’t get any better than that! The water temperature and pressure in the shower are great! Since both my husband & I have long, luxurious hair, this is a crucial point for us. Many holidays have been ruined, alas, because of bad (cold, weak) showers — but not at the ‘Ofenhaus’! Everything works to perfection! The location is really quiet & calm, but the beautiful medieval town of Murten can be reached on foot (via a short walk of 1km). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely book the ‘Ofenhaus’ again if we happened to stay in the area in the future!

Fabulous. Comfortable for two. Loved the balcony and the natural garden. Loved being close to the ramparts on a stunning typically picturesque street. The location is a few metres to shops and restaurants. Christian was a warm and welcoming owner/host with NZ connections, which made us feel special. Can highly recommend.

Everything was very good. Place is clean and very well kept. Kitchen has enough appliances for a quick meal. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom very pleasant. Although it is a basement apartment, it is still very airy with windows looking outside. Location is about 10 min walk from the lake, and although central it is not in the city chaos. Communication with landlord was very clear and easy.
