Our family travels nearly half the year, across continents and lodging types, and NEVER have we received such a warm, thoughtful, and over-the-top welcome! I mentioned when booking that we'd be staying the night of our youngest daughter's 2nd birthday. Some accommodations place a little note in the room; I thought it'd be a nice touch for her baby book. The host reached out prior to our arrival stating they'd do a little something for her and I was already so touched. But when we arrived, we walked into a chalet filled with personalized balloons, a birthday sign, cupcakes, a candle, AND a note. Needless to say, both our girls were elated and my husband and I were completely blown away by the host's care and love toward our littlest. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!! You made a long travel day so special, and a little girl's 2nd birthday an unforgettable one! On another note, the chalet itself is beautiful: modern, nicely situated in nature, and possibly the best-equipped rental we've ever stayed in. They have every kitchen appliance under the sun, a very obvious 1st aid kit (just in case), and a wonderful washer out back. Even more impressive is how spotlessly clean the place was - we were amazed! We'd highly recommend!

Johnny was the best host that you can imagine. He knows a lot about animals and is very helpful. He recommends nice places where you can do activitys around the area. Especially the night tour and the cacao tour are very nice. The hotel has a small garden with a lots of animals. You can see tucans and frogs around the area. The rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast is very good. This place is definitely an recomendation. It was the nicest place where we have been so far in Costa Rica.

The location and accommodations were incredible. Upon arriving we felt like we were nestled into the rainforest with the lovely creek running next to the property. The kitchen was well stocked and the geodome was the coolest place I've ever stayed with a beautiful rainforest view, lots of comfortable seating, and much appreciated air conditioning.

The accommodation's were good. It’s a little off the beaten path and rustic which was fine with us. The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hiking trails and bridges were great and we saw an anteater on our hike. I would stay there again. Thank you!

Excellent accommodations, large and spacious living area, and kitchen. Close to city and stores. It's a good fit for larger families, with three nice rooms. Beautiful trails around the house and howler monkeys wake you in the morning.

Our Stay in The Hideaway was wonderful! Espacially the staff was exceptionally nice and fulfilled all our wishes! Mariano is the best barman we have ever met and mixed great cocktails at the poolbar. We had a lovely stay in la Finca Amistad, the accommodation, the tour of the farm, the cacao workshop, the breakfast, the friendly personal, everything was absolutely PERFECT ! Thank you so much 😃

The staff, food, accommodation (stayed in a bungalow) were great. The suspension bridge trail and rural roads next to the lodge were great for birdwatching and photography. The grounds were nicely kept with beautiful flowering plants.

This is the most fabulous place to stay. We visited 6 years ago and loved it, didn't disappoint on the second occasion.Victor and his wife are such good hosts,. The place is out of the way but worth the drive. Its so beautiful and peaceful and a great place to chill. The accommodation is good. We ate there on the two nights and lovely food and service.

Fabulous. The accommodations, surroundings and food was everything we hoped and more. The owner was super nice and made us feel so welcomed and at home. Seeing the wide variety of birds and wildlife on the property was a bonus. We cannot wait to return.
