It was a perfect stay and we would have like to have more time to stay longer and enjoy this place. First of all, Mauricio and his family are lovely hosts. Always making sure that everything is going well for us, that we don't lack of anything. They welcomed with fresh fruits and the breakfast was really good also. Mauricio even took the time to show us the surrounding during a little hike, it was so nice from him. About the accommodation, it's a lovely bungalow, with natural material and nicely decorated with a lot a flowers. Very comfy and romantic as well. The view over nature is amazing and you feel like in a little shelter in the jungle. To resume, I can surely recommend you to stay here if you want to spend some days in Las Terennas. The accommodation is as lovely as the hosts. Thank you again and all the best for you and your family.

Amazing staff !! They were always ready for you and smiling . Good location and the room was really nice and big. And the outdoor Space really nice and peaceful . Good Breakfast and few time we had the dinner there and everything was good .

The room was very clean and nicely decorated. There are fresh fruits for breakfast and drinkable water throughout your stay. The location is good, 5 min walking to the beach. There are bars and restaurants around. Very calm and pleasant environment. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Casa Shambala for one week and we truly enjoyed our stay! The accommodation is amazing and just like in the photos. Everything is clean, modern and well taken care of. The owners were friendly and we felt very welcomed. We also had breakfast there every morning and it was great; every morning we had something different (scrambled eggs, cakes, crepes/pancakes, fresh fruits and juice..). The B&B is located approximately 200m from the beach and the main road where you can find restaurants and shops. Even though the main road can be quite busy, the pool area is quiet and we almost had the pool just for ourselves :) I have high standards for accommodations but I can definitely recommend Casa Shambala - you won’t regret it!

Beautiful boutique hotel close to everything Las Terrenas can offer. We loved the construction, decor, pool and garden and the staff was very nice and helpful. A quiet and peaceful oasis only a few hundred meters from Playa Punta Popy and lots of restaurants. Delicious breakfast. We would love to come back!

An amazing stay! The place is beautiful, just a few steps from the beach, surrounded by charming restaurants and a wonderful beach for walks. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, and the atmosphere they create in their home is fantastic. A cozy pool, delicious breakfasts, very clean and beautiful. We’ve been coming to Las Terrenas for 20 years and have experienced quite a few accommodations. This year was our first stay at "Casa Barbara". The property is away from the noise and, with only three bungalows, it's peaceful and clearly arranged. Drinking water is automatically refilled by the host and not charged. Electricity, internet, and hot water are stable. Even though the beach is only a 5-minute walk away, the pool is a great alternative on cloudy days. There are plenty of shaded lounging and seating areas, and coffee and cold water are also available by the pool. The cleaning lady does an excellent job. The kitchen is very well equipped by Dominican hotel standards—we didn’t miss a thing during our two-week stay. After this experience, Casa Barbara will be the only place we stay.
