The apartment was exceptionally clean & spacious, comfy beds and in the centre of the village. Although we didn’t use them as our stay was only overnight & quite rushed, the host left essentials i.e. coffee, milk & a few slices of bread etc which would have been really useful. Communication was excellent. Check in was excellent. Parking was easy. All in all, it couldn’t have been any better.

Lovely building, excellent breakfast and dinner. Great facilities. Incredible attention to detail. Comfortable beds. Lovely outside spaces. Very quiet. Loads of animals! On our arrival we opted for a glass of wine before a lovely vegan and gluten free dinner. A nice breakfast the following morning before departing for Bilbao. Matteo couldn’t have been more helpful. Him being Italian was an added bonus for me to be able to practice my Italian. He actually speaks very good Spanish and English too. Wonderful

Great large apartment with everything you need and even more! We really appreciate the possibility of coming with a dog. We also took advantage of renting underground parking, although in September we had no problem parking in front of the block, and the garage space is very tight and requires good parking skills. The apartment is fully furnished, clean and beautifully scented, and it was a pleasure to stay there. However, it is also a great starting point for exploring the Basque Country. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and communication is very efficient. Thank you, we highly recommended it!

Great accommodation - just off the Camino Del Norte. The owner was very friendly, pointing out where the supermarket and restaurant were. Although we only booked a double room we ended up with a whole apartment. So we're able to relax, cook some food and even do a spot of washing. The photos really don't do justice to this place - our bedroom was very spacious and clean and the bed was extremely comfy.

Location was great overlooking the square, and also quiet. The room was bigger than we anticipated give the price. A great place to stay if doing the Camino del Norte.

Super loved our stay.. a beautiful old stone building with a modern incarnation as a stylish hotel, lovely staffs, good restaurant.. very comfortable stay, everything was clean and in perfect working order, and the one night here was a nice respite while walking the Camino del Norte.. a bit off the path after a long day, but not anything to worry about. Would happily recommend to others

We were walking the camino and had been stopping in alberques and cheaper accommodation. We wanted a night with a little more comfort, so we booked Antsotegi, and what a result that was! Great rooms and delicious food in a fantastic environment, but what really made it was the staff!!! Passionate and knowledgeable about their basque region, they introduced us to local wines and foods, made just a stones throw away. We only stayed one night, but rest assured we will be back again for a longer stay very soon.

It is a nicely situated rural hotel which is not convenient to the town of Markina but in a tranquil location about 1.5 km outside accessed by a pretty park following a river. It has a captive market of pilgrims travelling the Camino del Norte as there is a shortage of accommodation which is not Refugio or albergue in the region. We have stayed before and enjoyed it. The owner is very welcoming and into locally sourced produce and sustainability. The food is also very good with mainly homemade cuisine.
