The room was very nicely decorated (modern, but keeping the some old elements of the original house) and very comfortable. The host, Annelise, was extremely welcoming and gave as a lot of info about what we can do in Verdun, including restaurants recommendations. We took the optional breakfast and it was a good idea, as we had everything served when we wanted and it was delicious. Location is also great, 5min by car to the Verdun old city and maybe 20min by car to the battlefield.

What a wonderful find. Alain and his wife were excellent hosts and a great help recommending the best sites to visit during my short 2 day stay. I was made feel very welcome and told to not be afraid to ask for anything l needed. The facilities were perfect for someone like me that was travelling alone Everything was available beside my room. l was able to prepare my own food, and had the use of a cooker/stove, microwave, fridge and utensils. There were so many things to like. The owner has put so much planning into it, and added so many thoughtful touches. Little things that make a difference eg all the appliances were easy to use, there were two big colour-coded dustbins. The heating was generous and completely automatic. The towels were big and new. I absolutely loved the fresh, crisp bedlinen in lovely seasonal colours
