What can I say about this place? The staff here are absolutely wonderful. So friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was gorgeous and so clean and the pub itself was quaint and welcoming. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was so friendly. We truly felt like we were locals!

I dined and stayed overnight. Parking convenient and free of charge. The dinner menu is interesting, something for everyone, and delivered in good time. 10% service charge automatically added to bill, around £65 two corded for two, less drinks. The self contained accommodation is very comfortable, modern bathroom with bath and shower. TV and radio work, tea and coffee available in the room.

What a wonderful stay! We almost want to keep this gem to ourselves, but wow! This place was so amazing, we booked and stayed an extra night. Kirstie, Kamil, and Ross and all the staff were so friendly and efficient and are a credit to the Butcombe name. I will definitely recommend the Crown Inn at Tolldown to friends and family, and I’m sure we'll be back soon. The quality of the accommodation and food was simply superb. What a special place. Lovely accommodation surrounded by beautiful countryside. The pub is wonderful and food is incredible! A lovely stay- will definitely be back.
