The family were so kind to us, they prepare delicious food and on our second night even invited us to join them for homemade Khinkali with some friends and other guests. The bar area is super cosy with the log fire, and even though the temperatures were reaching -15 in the night, the bed was comfy and warm. They provide a small heater for the room too which really helps. We really enjoyed our stay here and it's a great location to reach any area of the village on foot.

The hosts were incredible, they were very kind and always paying attention to our needs. They also helped us to arrange an outing with the horses to the glacier. The room in the property is authentic and is located in the middle of the village. If you stay there I highly recommend to have dinner and breakfast in the house as they will serve you real, home made svanetian food.

Best food we had the whole time we were in Svaneti. We were the only people eating dinner that night and there were loads of tasty dishes for us. The host was very nice and although she spoke only a little English she tried to help us with Google translate and her children spoke English. She also helped us organise a taxi back to Mestia. And the Wi-Fi actually worked well!

wonderful, welcoming host, magical location, peaceful , amazing mountain views , on the outskirts of town towards the mountains and glacier, but a quick stroll or drive into town when needed, very cute and clean cottage, in a large field with a couple of horses, an outdoor fires. We also went horse riding arranged through the host- to and from our door . Highly recommend!

The house is in the best location in Ushguli, with the most stunning view of Mount Shkhara. And the owner is an even more amazing person. He was even our horse riding guide — we rode to the Shkhara Glacier. The amenities in the house are varied and suitable for all kinds of people. The place is peaceful, and it’s incredible to wake up to a view of Mount Shkhara!

We spent the whole day looking for a hotel and settled on Babi & Tata's House. 1) It was in Ushguli 2) It was inexpensive and our budget allowed it 3) And it looked very cozy. And we weren't wrong! Unlike new buildings made according to European standards, it was actually built on the foundations of ancient towers. Animals graze below. Nearby, 20 meters - there is a river. The beds are very soft and comfortable. We came for 1 night but stayed for 4! The feeling that you arrive at the Black Castle in the Game of Thrones, where the buildings are over 1000 years old. The hotel is very new, we were the second guests here, we really liked that it is not noisy here. There is hot water in the shower, although in the capital, Tbilisi, it is not always available. It turned out that Babi and Tata are teenage girls. They opened a family hotel with their mother Mzea. They speak excellent English! In addition, they took great care of us. Believe me, this is a big difference when compared with European hotels. Breakfast and dinner were very plentiful and delicious! It was a real holiday! There are not many hotels in this part of Ushguli yet, and we enjoyed the silence and solitude.

Great homestay accommodation in the heart of Ushguli The house is very atmospheric and has been in the family for generations. Breakfast was huge and delicious and the family are very nice indeed. I was here for two nights and would come back.

We stayed in the presidential suite with an amazing view. The host was super nice, the food we had there was amazing... We had a blast while staying in Ushguli, the mountains were responsible for the better part of it, but this superb accommodation played a part in it as well.

Great accommodation in Ushguli, guesthouse lady was incredibly willing to do anything to make our stay more pleasant. For example she cooked according to our wishes even when we came late and we did not have to pay full price, just meals from menu which we wanted. Also she cooked something what was not prepared in the evening, it is service as from five-star hotel. The prices were also pretty great and meal was fantastic. You will not regret staying here. Also they took us back to Mestia when we needed.
