The decision to give 10 points has never been easier. We found this place to be the ideal home base for exploring Kovalam and Trivandrum. And here is why: 1. It is situated close, but not too close to the city and within a short tuctuc ride from the beach. 2. The property is beautiful and the rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped. 3. The entire staff (front desk, housekeeping, security guard, restaurant staff, as well as the drivers, ayur veda specialist and yoga teacher they work with) is extremely friendly and helpful. They really made us feel at home. 4. The food… is just something else. We can’t wait to come back simply because we weren’t able to sample the entire menu! Everything we had was delicious and fresh. Many of the fruit and veg are grown right on the property. We had never been to Kerala - or indeed India - before. We will definitely be back because we fell in love with the area and the food and the people. This is in large part thanks to the Amara experience. ❤️

We booked an upper floor at first. But when we had arrived, we were offered to stay at the separate building on the territory. The house consists of two rooms with separate entries and mutual kitchen (refrigerator, dishes, gas stove, kettle). Room has attached bathroom. The house is new, including furniture, bathroom, kitchen equipment. Everything is very clean and neat: the house (everyday cleaning possible), the garden. Bathroom is spacious with hot water. There is garden furniture, AC in the room, WiFi. You can have a transfer, laundry, Indian breakfast for additional payment. The place is quiet, but you can easily reach supermarket and bus stop on foot. The host is very helpful and responsible. He helped me with all my nneeds (sim card, bike, money exchang ing, etc).

The River Loom is a fantastic place beautifully set in nature, immediately on a river bank and a stone throw away from the beach. The room was nicely decorated and had everything needed for a short stay. We particularly loved the garden and the terrace with all its beautiful plants! The host and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! We came as guests and left as friends :-). Absolutely recommendable without reservations!
