Great location and really helpful friendly owner who lives in the apartment below. Lovely views. Even able to just about able to see the eruption of the volcano from the room! Everything super clean and well organised. It's a recently refurbished apartment with 3 rooms and shared bathroom and kitchen. We were very lucky and mostly on our own.

The cabin was perfect! It was one of our favourite spots of our holiday, just because of the design. The visit from the doggos were also a treat, however they do tend to be a bit pushy and want to come into the units haha. The location would also be perfect to see the lights, however, we had cloudy skies.

Even after reading all the previous, raving reviews, we were still very positively surprised - the apartment really has more than everything we could possibly need. Another “magical” plus, even with self-check in & out (by definition cold and person-less), Lucy somehow made it have a human touch. Great location, 15 minutes away from Borganes . The house is perfect, it has everything you need for the perfect stay. The kitchen allows you to cook with ease, with the addition of the outside covered barbecue for cooking steaks/ lamb etc without setting off any fire alarms. All the essentials salt, pepper, spices, coffee, kitchen roll , sugar, etc etc were provided, with toilet roll, conditioner, shampoo, hand wash , body wash, etc which was a lovely surprise! The bedrooms are very comfortable and the whole house is decorated to a high standard. The hot tub is a jet spa which we used daily after a long day out. It’s perfect. Having a cabin with bedroom and separate shower /wc means it’s also perfect for larger groups, as we were a party of 2 we had plenty of room. The house has great facilities for washing/ drying and has a large TV if you feel compelled on stormy nights to watch a bit of television. The icing on the cake is the location for northern lights, having a great 360 view without interruption means you’ve got the best chances. Out of 12 nights we luckily managed to see 10 nights/ mornings despite some very challenging weather in November. We didn’t need to drive out, we just happily sat wrapped up under the covered deck and waited for Aurora to appear. There is a main deck which has a sheltered covered area which is perfect, then a lower deck for the cabin, a base deck in the garden and to the side a grass garden area. Very nice garden furniture and a picnic table for warmer days! The road to the house is a little pitted in winter but nothing crazy just drive carefully. We tend to have 4X4 or AWD car in November as the roads to tend to wear in winter. The location is perfect for driving up the west coast and north. The host was lovely and very accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay at Lundur again and the other properties on the portfolio.

Stayed in a single room, which was surprisingly spacious and perfectly appointed. You get towels and even a robe in your room! Homely accommodation, comfortable, clean, with a great upstairs communal living area. Good location near the water, a short walk to the shoreline where I joined a handful of other lucky folks in my first ever (breathtaking) Aurora Borealis viewing. Little kitchenette setup in the downstairs entrance with coffee station and water dispenser was a nice touch, especially since friends staying elsewhere in Borgarnes complained of a sulphur-like smell/taste in their water.
