I had a wonderful stay at this private luxury cottage near Galle. Surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. The cottage was exceptionally clean, with comfortable linens and all the necessary amenities, including tea, coffee, hot water, and toiletries—all provided free of charge. The complimentary WiFi covered the entire cottage, ensuring a seamless connection. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious Sri Lankan breakfast, served in a peaceful setting with the soothing sounds of birds and stunning nature views. The location is ideal, close to popular tourist attractions such as waterfalls and monasteries. Additionally, the nearby village offers unique experiences like cinnamon peeling, hiking, and birdwatching. Overall, this cottage is a perfect blend of comfort and nature, making it an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended!

Location is amazing. Like a little private island. Entrance to the resort is like a nice walk in mangrove jungle. It’s really well mantained. We stayed in the ac room and the room was super clean, really comfortable and well decorated. Staff and the owner, ware really helpful and really sweet to us. We can totally recommend to stay here.

A fantastic place right by the ocean. The hotel staff, along with the hotel manager and the hotel's four-paw manager, made us feel right at home from the very moment our car pulled up to the entrance. The attention to detail was unprecedented, and the small touches everywhere continued to surprise us, even after a few days.

Excellent rating overall! Supun/Mel and the lovely staff are doing a fabulous job as hosts of Amaroo! By far the best accomodation we could have imagined for our style - its the place to be in Hikka! Cool vibes! Perfect location as well (beachfront, surfspot, restos/bars, atm in front). Everyday changing breakfast is a dream, and so is the restaurants food menue! Surfguidings and boards were on a super good level. AND: Getting up in the morning, receiving the loveliest „good morning“ every day by Harsh followed by instant serving of fresh coffee with the brightest smile you could imagine made every day from the first minute a really good one! Definitely coming back one day 😎

The friendly helpful staff, pristine gardens and clean comfortable villa made our stay a time to remember. Meals are available until 5pm each day (8pm on Wednesdays) and are delicious. Nothing was ever an issue for the manager Karin, who could organise meals, snacks by the pool, advice on local shops and even have my suit case repaired by the villa’s maintenance man. The team spoke great English and were happy to talk with you and make your stay comfortable and relaxing.

I stayed only one night, but I wish I found this place little earlier and was able to book this for one or two weeks, because I think it is great spot for long stays. The shared kitchen was also clean and great because I could cook myselfs.

Everything, it’s the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Loved the pups, the kitties, the peaceful location, the staff *really* felt like family… it was cleaned daily and overall just amazing.

Temptation was such a gorgeous hotel, the pictures don’t even do it justice. The rooms were so nice and the whole place was spotless with housekeeping every day. It’s in a great location too close to everything. Would highly recommend and it’s very reasonable for what you get 😃
