Mona was an incredibly gracious host, and her son is absolutely adorable. She’s also a wonderful cook—every meal was delicious and made with care. The location is truly nestled in the heart of the forest—an idyllic green paradise. That said, if you’re uncomfortable around insects or wildlife, this may not be the right spot for you, and it’s best not to waste Mona’s time. For nature lovers, though, it’s a dream come true. The natural pool is simply breathtaking.

Leon Hilltop is a new venture (hence few reviews). It is in a great location (up the hill from team 39 watersports). It sits on the ridge line and has great views. It is well away from the road and was lovely and peaceful. The accommodation was immaculate - clean and comfortable. Sameera and his team were extremely welcoming and attentive from the outset. At the time of writing they didn’t have in house catering, instead using a local hotel to provide food and drinks which were brought up to our dining area. If you’re coming for a bit of rafting I’d highly recommend Leon Hilltop - I’m certain Sameera and his team will look after you just as well as he did us!

Kithulvilla is a little oasis in the midst of the mountains. Laura and her staff takes good care of the guests at Kithulvilla and cooks great food. We were so happy to stay here, and the view from the nice, cool pool is just outstanding. Laura happily arranged a little snack and tea when we arrived, had planned White water rafting by request and booked a tuktuk for our onward journey from Kithulvilla. We almost felt at home!

We had a lovely stay at the remote, jungle location of Arsulana. We were greeted by Ashley who gave us a warm welcome and tips for our stay. The food and service was good and we really enjoyed our white water rafting. Overall a great place to spend a few days on your way to the tea country.

The property is in the middle of the Jungle, so to say. It takes approximately 30min to reach it from the main road. The service, the accommodation itself was perfect for all those looking out for quietness and an area to relax. All the workers are awesome and help you with everything. Food was also amazing!

We had a lovely stay! The location is amazing, quiet and peaceful. We came for a few days of rest and the location was perfect for this. The room has a great view and you can walk to the river, owners are really friendly and could tell us a lot about the environment and fauna (and more tips for our stay in Sri Lanka - thanks guys!). The food was delicious and we were really happy we could do our laundry. Recommendable!

Best place to stay in the center of SriLanka Owners are great people. My baggage was lost, and they gave us their closes! Helped us with the taxi and feed us with a great breakfast. It is a beautiful place with a view to the waterfall. It is the closest place to the nature you can find. Wanna thank the owners one more time!
