The location is amazing. Its right at the beach. This hotel is run by family and the owner personally takes good care of the guests. The best part was even if the owner's wife was in hopsital, he came all the way just to ensure that we have a smooth checkin. Thanks a lot for the gesture Harshit. The breakfast was amazing and was cooked by owner's family so you get to taste the home food. I would definately come back to this place if i visit next. Thanks Harshit for all the help. Where do we start?! We were welcomed to Villa Janaliya by the whole family. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was all we wanted. We have found this to be the general rule for Sri Lankan hospitality, but at Villa Janaliya; it was another level again. Nothing was too much trouble. They helped us book days out, get the best prices, gave guidance about where to go and what to eat. They were responsive, spoke excellent English and the entire family were super kind and helpful. We had countless lessons in Sri Lankan cuisine and were given some wonderful meals, which has encouraged us to go on and start to learn about cooking Sri Lankan food for ourselves. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with everything you need for your stay. It is a 5 minute walk from the beach, which have a selection of restaurants and bars. There are small shops close by for essentials and a train and bus stop within a 5 minute walk from the apartment. The nearby towns of Bentota and Aluthgama are easy to get to on the bus or train, they are busy and bustling. The family also own the adjacent hotel, which has a gorgeous pool and well equipped, air conditioned gym, which we had access to and used most days. We cannot recommend Villa Janaliya highly enough, we're already looking forward to returning. Thank you.

We came here for the last days of our travels around Sri lanka, eager to relax at a quiet beach and enjoy our time. This is exactly what we found here. We couldn't have asked for more. The hosts were so kind and willing to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We were welcomed with water and fresh juice. The breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked each day and we even could wish for whatever we craved. It also was a lot. The dinner we can highly recommend too. The amenities were super clean. Not to forget the beautiful garden, with bird song, lizards and squirrels flying through the air ;) In the end the host even drove us to the bus station (and didn't charge us for it). If you're looking for a secluded beach, staying at a well taken care of house, with lovely breakfast and great hosts, this is the place to go. We will definitely come back :) Thank you!

I travel to Sri Lanka very often because it is my favourite destination, and this is my first visit to Villa Sidu. For me without doubt one of the best places that I have ever stayed in Sri Lanka. In Villa Sidu you are guaranteed the best Sri Lankan hospitality. It is owned and run by Himali, her husband Janaka, and also supported by daughter and son. It is a family orientated place to relax and enjoy. This family go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoy. Always willing to help and guide you to enjoy the surroundings. This accommodation is in Induruwa, and it is a peaceful village between the busy tourist hotspots Bentota and Hikkaduwa. Beautiful spacious, clean rooms with a balcony if you are on a top floor. There are AC rooms and well as non AC. Breakfast is also included, it is one of the finest breakfast to enjoy. If you like why not speak to Himali or Janaka and enjoy Sri Lanka’s tasty rice and curry. Don’t take my word, just try it. If you are looking for the Indian Ocean, look not far, it is just meters away from Villa Sidu. We like Villa Sidu so much, after an exhausting tour round Sri Lanka, we came back to Villa Sidu to enjoy and relax. We take this opportunity to thank Himali, Janaka and family for making our holiday comfortable than we expected. In our opinion Villa Sidu is a hidden Gem in Sri Lanka. Villa Sidu is not expensive at all.

A quiet little hotel away from the hustle and bustle, lovely clean little pool. Two rooms and two villas (I stayed in the villa and it's spacious, clean and very comfortable). Fully equipped kitchen, brand new AC...small balcony but there's ample room under the pagoda next to the pool to hang out. The background tunes are nature.. Beautiful bird life, water Buffalo's it's so peaceful... The owner is in contact whenever required and the young lad looking after the premises is a nice lad. 15 min walk to the bus stop if you don't have wheels. Fabulous place.

Perfect spot on the beach. Clean rooms and super tidy outside. Even for Europa standard. Dont be fooled by the bad looking backside. Not going to live there. This place is amazing. All the staff is super friends! Rooms are for the price super and while we stay there uppgrades was undergoing. The beach outside is 10 meters away and is clean.

Very good room, beautiful and delicious breakfest with fresh Juice, Very good service and nice and helpful owners. Everything is new, well decorated in colonial style, with huge bathroom. Close to the beautiful Beach and turtles. Highly recomended. Im prety sure I will stay here next time in Bentota.

I liked the location which, for birding was excellent. It was also a little way from the main tourist centres but only a 15 minute walk to the beach. The accommodation itself was excellent with a lovely pool, nice little kitchen and a friendly cat! The caretaker host, Krishna, was impeccable, friendly and efficient. The bed was comfy and the ac sufficient.

It was a real pearl in our trip to Sri Lanka. Arcadia has been our last stop before return home and this is the kind of staying I prefer much above staying in star-hotels. Everything was top and above exactly like it was said by other tourists in comments. Still miss this place and the family of Hasith taking care of us, and hope once again come to visit it. Book it and enjoy, dont think twice:).

Lovely family, so cute and friendly. The place is very calm and relaxed. Perfect to start or end your holiday there. Seafood restaurant bamboo (around 800m along the beach) also highly recommended!

Shashi and her family were the kindest hosts one could imagine. She did everything possible to make our stay perfect, which it was. The beach directly in front of the property, which we basically had to ourselves, was as nice as any we saw in Sri Lanka. The brealfast was also awesome.

Very nice place with a lovely couple. We felt very welcome and also very comfortable. The room is spacious and very clean. Nice AC and a big bed. We were welcomed with a drink fresh from the fruit from the garden. The garden is calm and beautiful. Good and various breakfast. They drove us to the airport what was very relaxt. Thank you so much for the stay. If we go back to Sri Lanka we will definitely stay here again!
