We had a wonderfull time at Thambu Illa. Mathu and Sutha did everything possible to make our 3 night stay a pleasant one. They also organised a private guided tour of Jaffna and the peninsula. It was really worth it. The breakfast was according to our wish srilankan or western. Lunch/dinner is ordered from out and very tasty. They have reliable TukTuk drivers and tipps for Jaffna eateries on hand. We want. to come back!!

He is an absolutely perfect and attentive host and it seems he is able to read the guests wishes and needs from their eyes. This place is so amazing, spacious, clean and quiet, close to Jaffna airport. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, I felt right at home. Special mention to Dillakshi, Prasanna, Prinsen, Dineshan, Saranya who helped us with what dishes to try, what places to see etc. The Manager Rushan was equally helpful and offered to help us book another stay on our return to Jaffna from Trincomalee. And the food was delicious! Thank you Thinnai for a thoroughly enjoyable stay, we are certainly coming back! :-)

Absolutely lovely stay at Munril Guest! The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with both air conditioning and a fan. The villa itself is beautiful, with a peaceful and green setting just a few minutes by tuk-tuk from the city center, a perfect balance of quiet and convenience. The facilities are excellent, but what really stands out is the incredible friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts. They even offered free rides to local sights, which was a wonderful bonus. Breakfast was also delicious and well-prepared. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jaffna!

It is an inviting, spacious, hospitable place to stay with excellent facilities - kitchen especially but in truth, all rooms. Location - 15 mins taxi Palaly Int Airport; 5 mins drive Inuvil railway station; 10/15 mins drive Jaffna; 5 mins drive Chunnakam. The actual physical location is attractive in its serenity. Its located in a quiet lane on Manipay Road overlooking agricultural land owned/rented by smallholders. Noise and external interference is absolutely minimal.
