My stay at Kelaniya Heritage was very comfortable and homely. The place was exactly the same as pics shared in booking.com. Priyadarshini the owner of the property is been very friendly from the time I booked the accommodation.She made my stay very comfortable. Also her staff Kanthi and Latha are also very caring. 5 star hotel. Room bit outdated. Otherwise confortable and located on the sea. Beach not really to visit (the Port City will most probably upgrade it in the future). Great breakfast (as ShangriLa has). Good in-house restaurants but expensive. The food was nevertheless very good. Nice pool on 4th floor. Extra services (transfers, spa , etc) way overpriced (transfer to airport was 75 usd quoted by the hotel while a reputable taxi Kangaroo company with invoice and metre took me to the airport for 23 usd). Conected to a Mall with lots of shopping oportunities.

This was an amazing stop. We stayed on the 34th floor. View was amazing you can see lotus tower from the balcony. The swimming pool is great. They have an air conditioned room to sit in while the kids swim and a play area by the pool. kFC and Pizza Hut very close 3 supermarkets within walking distance they also have options to eat in them. There are some nice Sri Lankan food places near by as well. We had a two bedroom apartment there were 3 air conditioned units in it one in each bed room all worked well. One shower has good pressure the water was not hot hot but was ok. It is very clean and tidy. The agent is awesome sent details through prior to arrival and was available via what’s app if we had any questions That it does need is pool towels there are not any only white towels at the pool is difficult. They have washing machine so you can wash them and a drying rack on the balcony. What would have been nice would have been instructions on how to use the TV we just didn’t watch it and was not a big deal we could have asked if we wanted to.

Not a hotel accommodation but a genuine and authentic experience. This small hotel offers what no other hotel can offer, a look into Sri Lanka familiy live, culture and cuisine. Room is great with beautifull views and having the chance to enjoy true Sri Lankan homecooking is priceless. If this is not enough, the owners are a highly educated and international experienced couple able and willing to have a real conversation, no religuous/cultural/monetary obstacles but open and honest.
