Everything was amazing. The room was big and modern and the hospitality was above and beyond. The best breakfast we’ve had in Sri Lanka and an extra plus was the swimming pool. We booked the safari through them as well which made the process so easy. 100% recommend.

Leels safari cottage, a pocket of paradise. we spontaneously booked our stay here for 2 nights in hopes to do a safari. We’ve been travelling Sri Lanka for over a month now and I can say this has been the nicest place we have stayed at. The pictures are exactly like the place which we were so pleased about, the room its self is beautiful, comfortable beds, beautiful layout and decoration with the blessing of air con and a fan. They also supply mosquito nets, this was the first place we weren’t bitten once! As for the bathroom it’s wonderful, full of plants with an rainforest vibe. It’s all so clean and well stocked with a kettle, wardrobe, shelf’s and great mirrors. The attention to detail is amazing you can tell a lot of love and hard work has been put into this place. The lighting is lovely giving it a cosy feel. We had breakfast included and added on dinner for both nights as the food was too good! Cooked by the loveliest ladies who do everything they can to make sure you’re happy. So much selection for both breakfast and dinner really yummy and enjoyable. It’s the perfect place to relax but also seek adventure. We woke up early one morning to go for a run, the area is lovely everybody smiles and says hello. and the views are really beautiful with thriving nature. We went to an elephant orphanage near by, luckily they know people for transport etc and Leel suggested this activity for us, we didn’t know about this place prior our visit! But so glad we went it was amazing! Our second day was Safari day, we were delighted that Leel himself is one of the greatest safari tour drivers, so we set off early in the morning and embarked on our safari around Udawalawe. I know it will be one of my favourite memories we are really grateful for Leel and his dedication to make sure we had the best time and see as many beautiful animals as possible! Brand new little and so beautiful lodges in a garden full of palm and banana trees. A balcony out of wood and a hammock to relax in the garden. The room has a mosquito net and the shower is a waterfall. Such a nice host, good communication, good food and service. He organized a safari with a skilled, nice and friendly driver. He took care of the tickets and everything, great al inclusive package . We saw so many beautiful animals and they even arranged a breakfast for us at a nice place in the national park.

I have been travelling through Sri Lanka for 3 weeks now. This place is, hands down, the best I have stayed at. The location is excellent and so are the facilities. The rooms are bright, spacious and very clean. Everything (such as faucets, air conditioning, etc) is not only in good working order but also of good quality. It's a new hotel with an inviting pool, what is there more to wish for... Well, as great as this place is, its biggest asset is the manager. He understands the importance of personalized service! A big thank you to him and all his staff for making me feel so welcome.

Big and clean room, comfortable bed, with hot water. The ceiling fan was not functioning but they gave us a stand fan, which worked. But what made this place stand out is the very accommodating nature of Dimu and his staff. The breakfast was also delicious, the dhal curry is to die for. They also offered private transfer to neighbouring towns at affordable prices. They also offer affordable but very experienced safari guide (Sumudu) - we saw elephants at places where no one else was there. Definitely worth booking if you’re going for the safari!

We had the best time at Mango Tree House. Sachith is super nice and kind, he contacted us before our stay, helped us to find the best connection to get there and picked us up from the bus stop. The food is delicious, the safari was well organized (we had a lovely driver and saw elephants super close) and the accommodation was clean and comfy. Highly recommended!

Swimming pool was welcome. I booked two tents not realising they had no air con so we were able to get a tent with aircon for the first night and then moved to the non aircon tent for second night. Both were nice accommodations comfortable bed and great value. We booked a morning safari (3.5 hours) with the hotel and it was excellent our guide was brilliant.

We loved the natural grounds, quite wild in a good way. Two lovely pools and it’s so peaceful and quiet. Lots of wildlife to watch. The free fish spa is fun (could benefit from a clean though). We had chosen the most basic tent which was very inexpensive and perfectly adequate. We will definitely be back soon and will stay longer in one of the other accommodation options. The food was wonderful and the staff were fantastic especially Pasindu. It’s amazing value for money and a great place.
