We arrived quite late from Auckland airport but Alan welcomed us warmly. The room was comfortable with coffee, tea and homemade cakes. Nice spacious room with a big bathroom, and a pretty balcony and terrace overlooking the pretty garden. The small town is a couple of minutes away with plenty of options to eat. We had a delicious home cooked breakfast with many options all of which were great. Alan gave us some very good tips for travelling and things to visit on our way up North.

Dear Madeleine and family, We were happy about this cozy and comfy place and the surrounding area to reach within a couple of minutes. Even when we ask for an outdoor eating table, maybe a special request at that time of the year, you just got one for us. If you don't want to get into Auckland by car, easy and relaxed way by bus. The best accommodation we had in NZ! Everything was perfect! The house is very clean, cosy and well equipped. Everything has a very high quality. The house has a very fresh and nice smell. The view from the terrace is spectacular! The owners, Angela and Dan, are very friendly and helpful. They gave us a lot of helpful recommendations. They even told us where we can find wild kiwis! We saw a wild kiwi and were so happy. We enjoyed the saltwater pool a lot. We highly recommend this accommodation! We would love to come here again in the future.

Very old style, large, comfortable home with a small private swimming pool and a constantly hot hot tub outside. We enjoyed our stay in this period residence. Some bedrooms are ensuite and others are not. Ensuite in the blue room is very compact. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Good facilities in the kitchen. This house has a "family run" type atmosphere.

Peter was a phenomenal host and went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. Accommodations were comfortable, well-appointed, and the views were beautiful. The next time we are in New Zealand, we'd love to visit again!

We stayed here as a stopover on our way south. For this, the accommodation is well located along SH 1. The unit was spacious and has everything you need. There is a fully equipped kitchen and Sky TV. There are also lots of books, DVDs and board games. In some places it was a bit dusty and getting on in years. However, it was fully adequate for our needs. They even cooked us breakfast and brought it to our unit in the morning.

The reception was really nice and was really happy that the car park was free to,  I would definitely stay there again and recommend this to anyone who is needing to find accommodation around the area. Nice little bar and restaurant underneath and nice cozy rooms with sky tv & free Wi-Fi  so all up, it was a really good experience and would definitely recommend this place.

Allan and Linley were lovely, friendly hosts. A platter of delicious home baking and chocolates had been placed on the bench in my room. The accommodation was clean and private and equipped with all I needed for my stay.

The accommodation was clean and very comfortable. There was a welcoming plate of treats as well as tea, coffee, etc. The breakfast next morning was delicious. Thank you Alan and Linley for a great stay.
