I'm travelling for 10 months and it was my favourite place. Green fields, delicious food, best staf ever that will make you feel at home. Also great and very strong wifi in the dinning room. If you have time before you gonna move to Laos, just stay there for more days. Although Chaing khong is small you can have chilly and great time in the Baan Sakuna hotel. Can't wait to visit again.

the accommodation was clean and comfortable. especially the owner and his wife are so lovely! we got picked up from the bus station and dropped off at the border in the morning. Amazing service!

Location was good, easy access to the riverside boulevarde providing lengthy walks in either direction. Friendly english speaking owners, ready to help with any enquiry. Room was large and spotlessly clean and had a large sliding glass door on to a balcony with a fabulous view across the Mekong River to a Laos town on the other side. Close to main street with lots of cafes. The ideal town to stay when catching a slow boat to Luang Prabang, but give yourself more than just one night, to enjoy Chiang Khong.

I have stayed here many times. Love this place. We stayed in a budget fan room which was perfect with comfy bed. The swimming pool is a crazy added benefit at this price and families will love it. Short walk to the beautiful views from the Mekong River promenade.

The Breakfast was cooked by Jam the owner an Meow her friend and assistant, nothing was too much trouble, what ever type of food you asked for Jam tried her best to provide it was always freshly cooked in front of you eyes, The Hotel wasn't over crowded and the pool was a lovely size and was lovely and clean as was the room, there was a supermarket at the end of the road and a lovely promenade to walk into town by the stunning Mekong River. also plenty of opportunity for excursions. Also John was there to have a friendly chat over a cool beer.
