DB Studios was an excellent place to stay. Right in the heart of Lamai Beach and close to many amenities and the Beach. The beds were substantially more comfortable than others we have had through ASEAN countries. The host and staff are excellent and very helpful. This was a truly memorable stay!

Our stay at this resort was nothing short of exceptional! The room was incredibly spacious, clean, and featured modern, brand-new furniture. You could tell it had been recently renovated with attention to detail. The air conditioning system was top of the line—quiet, efficient, and kept the room perfectly cool at all times especially at night when you most need it. The location is a true hidden gem. The resort sits right on a beautiful, uncrowded beach that offers both privacy and stunning views. The free sun beds and beach towels for guests were a fantastic touch, allowing us to fully relax and unwind without the hustle and bustle of a typical beach crowd. One of the standout features was the Tiki Bar located right on the beach where is the resort. It quickly became our go-to spot for delicious food at very reasonable prices. The service was fast, and every dish we tried hit the mark. While we explored other beachfront dining options, the Tiki Bar was hands-down the best in terms of quality, value, and service. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking to recharge, indulge, and enjoy a slice of paradise. We’ll definitely be coming back!

So far our best resort during our stay in Thailand! We loved the concept, the care for the environment and the absolute privacy in the cottages. There was so much detail in everything and the way of handling things was very modern (smartphones in the room to message reception, for example to order dinner to your room). Food was outstanding: no restaurant in the resort itself, but they deliver from a restaurant nearby which also puts emphasis on health and protecting the environment. All in all, it really was the most luxury we had with a lot of nature around us - perfect stay!

You can't tell how they do it. But from the start, the team of the Rock Samui will give you a relaxing and warm welcome to this little tropical paradise. Build as an tribute to the international series 'the flintstones', the Rock offers everything a traveller needs. Chill out places, a private beach to relax at and moreover a staff team that is interested in offering professional service. One my way back home i even revisited the hotel - it was so great. Therefore i can just say thank you, for your wonderfull teamspirit. May it be the endearing Chaw who has the empathy to share heartwarming laughs with good feelings. Yet also offers smart advice for your trip, professionalism when it comes to questions regarding the hotel and sharp comments - if you let her. The all knowing, almost tour guide niveau Gerome from philippines, who knows everything about the island Kho Samui. May it be the way to the ferry, the bus stations, the time of traffic or locations to eat, enjoy or meet friends. But don't forget about the rest of the team. The kitchen handles your order excellent. There are even fresh croissants every morning. Since i've been to france this year, they can stand the comparisson. Also it is very clean everywhere. Been in other hostels and hotels so far. Still, this one stands out. If you work a lot and want to relax, the Rock is your place to go. Of course bigger or even party beaches are just a shortly away. But who wants to go there, when you can have a private beach with your friends? When we were at holiday, one tourist even fell to the ground unconscious. The team called emergency immedeatly and even visited the unlucky solo traveller afterwards in hospital. In short: They genuinly care for you as a guest. Something, you can't find everywhere in the world.

It was a very, beautiful, peaceful and quiet place but still very close to everything. Laura is a fantastic host and she made our stay even better and we had no worries at all. Over 3 months backpacking and dozen of hotels, this one was the best we had. Everything there is perfect. The staff is so kind, the accommodations are clean and comfortable, the restaurant is in the hotel and it was really tasty, the room and all the resort are really quiet, and moreover the pool and the view are amazing. We really enjoyed our 10 days there !

We visited other beaches on the island but this one was cleanest and nicest of all! Accommodation was also clean, neat so we extended our stay twice and stayed only here while on Koh Samui. Great massages from hotel therapists. We could definitely come back.

Great place to stay if you are looking for a calm meditating atmosphere. Breakfasts were tasty, colourful and filled with attention from the lodge's team. The owner Kristin is a very caring person, she was taking care of me from the moment I booked the accomodation till the minute my holiday ended. Very quiet place surrounded with beautiful nature.
