Absolutely friendly owner who recommended and helped us with everything that we wanted and his advice was more than helpful. He has definitely insight about the whole Chiloé Island, really the right man in his place!!!

Die Unterkunft ALMA CHILOTA, die in Castro gelegen ist und von der aus Kirche Nuestra Señora de los Dolores in weniger als 18 km erreichbar ist, bietet einen Tourenschalter, Zimmer, einen Garten,... The location was magical with views of the other palafitos and across the water. The breakfast room/shared area was charming, especially with the breakfast table atop a dinghy and it was well positioned for the views. The construction of the buiding with wooden shingles, floors, walls and ceilings was charming along with the artesanal art pieces on display. There was room for two cars to park in front of the premises which is rare for the area.

The location was amazing. Literally like 1 minute to the coast from the hostel(walking) and only a few blocks from the artisanal market and to the towns’ busy area. The house was decorated beautifully and was very spacious. The host Raúl was very intelligent, well mannered, and informative. Though, I didn’t use it, he offers tours in his Hostel (penguins, the town, etc). Very good communication with him and he recommended us good places to eat and where to visit within Ancud and where to go afterwards. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was perfect. Private parking available upon request. Central AC in the house, so we slept nice and warm.

Breakfast was prepared always just before we came down . We were always asked what time we wanted to have breakfast. We stayed over Newyear's eve and New years day. And they arranged for a delicious meals to be brought to the lodge for us during a time many restaurants were closed. Parking was in a gated area and very secure. they have cat and dogs that were very friendly, but were kept outside our entire stay. The owners kept in contact with us prior to arriving. I would go back here anytime!
