Before our arrival we ran into roadblocks and arrived at the place at 23.30 hrs. Check in slot had already passed but the owner waited for us. Next day he helped us with our desert trip. They also helped us qith booking transport. We left early in de morning but they already had made us coffee. They made sure that the bus stopped at their place for us to board. Such nice people!

Perfect place to stay for a walk in the desert and get lost in the stars.

Guests at the accommodation can enjoy an American breakfast. Very friendly staff! We arrived at 10 pm and they arranged a tour for us for the next day, including a private guide. In the morning they were so kind to make us a lunch package as we were leaving early. Pool is very good

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Where to start... this place is the highlight of our trip across colombia! The accommodation is beautiful, imagine waking up to a desert breeze, hearing horses gallop by, listening to the sounds of birds as you lay in bed. Breakfast was delicious and accompanied by humming birds next to the table in the trees. Dinner was one of the best beefsteaks I've ever had, the portion was generous and just utterly delicious. There's a spot to charge your electronics, a gang of friendly dogs, games, lots of places to chill, a pool and lots of flowers growing all around. It's paradise! The staff went out of their way to make our trip memorable and they are just fantastic. Seriously, you cannot get a better location and a better stay in the area than this place!!!!

The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire is available at the accommodation. Perfectly located hotel. There is no need to take a taxi to get either the gray dessert or the red dessert, it's possible just to walk. Also, both observatories are situated close to the hotel. The room was good and had a constantly working fan. In the daytime when it's boiling, you can lie in a hammock.  On top of that, the food was delicious for a relatively good price.

And the staff. Rafael was always ready to help with a positive attitude. Newton and Carmen the administrators were very friendly and helpful.

A recently renovated guest house situated in Villavieja, LUNA DEL DESIERTO TATACOA 2DA SEDE features a shared lounge. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge.

The guest house offers an American or vegetarian breakfast. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The entire experience was just lovely and I'm definitely coming back if I'll visit Tatacoa again. Would definitely recommend!
